Hi guys, would like to seek some advice mountain bikes.

I noted that the brand Giant is a good brand for mid range bicycles.

I saw a Giant bike hanging outside the bicycle store at white sand at a discount from 400 plus to 299.

I am not sure the price range of Giant bike and would like to find out more. What should I look out for when I purchase a bike?

What bicycles are there with a roadie crankset and hybrid wheels? I am looking for one with 52x42x30 chainrings with 700x28c tires.

The Marin Fairfax is one such bicycle but it's out of my budget. Giant Rapid 3 is another such bicycle but not available in SG.

Any other cheaper models?
