Relax bro... With any luck she'll be in your hands by next week. The AED people collect them at customs on Thursdays. If you can get there early tomorrow they'll clear it and pass it to them and by 3pm you can collect it at AED.

Hey bro thanks I haven't receive the letter from customs or AED, just saw the tracking status that the knife is in custom.
So should I wait for the letter or will my tracking no. and IC be good enough to collect?

Wait for the letter... Customs want GST, they don't bother much about legality, to them anything over 6 inch should be sent to AED. An officer there said my Rock Salts were daggers and in the AED form wrote it as such. I refused to sign it as they were not and made him change it before I would. Pissed me off quite a bit frankly, sick of dealing with pencil pushing govt officials who doesn't know their job. I've been in the civil service for years and it irks me what the public thinks of us.

Hey thanks for the reply, from this I will take note of what they write the knife to be before I sign the paper. So in the end what did they change the description of the knives to? I guess I must go prepared with the knowledge, to clear them from customs.

He noted them as "2 X knife". I basically said to him since he doesn't know what a dagger is maybe it's easier for AED to decide.

Titanium is always good. Cheapest titanium handled knife around. Yeah it's made in China but how else can you get a titanium handled folder for less than USD50.

Haven't been on this thread for a while... hope everyone is still interested in knives. Manage to score a few new ones last few months. Following are on the way to SG.

- Kershaw JYDII
- Kershaw JYDII Titanium SG2
- Spyderco Ocelot

With any luck I'd also have the following knives in by the end of the month...

- Spyderco Lum Chinese Folder
- Spyderco Lava
- Spyderco Millitary Orange

Spyderco has been coming out with a lot of new knives last 1 month and they're bleeding my wallet dry. For those who have seen the Spyderco Tenacious the smaller version (2/3 the size) should hit the stores at the end of the month. Same steel, G10 handles and linerlock. MSRP is USD50 but I expect it to be available online for around USD30-35. Very good deal.

Latest version of the Manix with ball bearing lock has hit the stores too. The Manix 2 is priced at USD85 but is an almost new knife compared to the earlier ones. No S30V... Steel has been replaced with 154CM (not too shabby) with a hollow grind. I'd prefer if they kept it to FFG like the original. I'd have snapped up a few if they did. The next version will be FFG and bigger than the original Manix which is crazy as it is already a monster of a folder.

The SageII is out too... and all I can say is... Titanium Framelock! Wish Benchmade would get their act together. This year's offerings are very disappointing. The 760 LFTi is their only nice new knife but it's fraught with QC problems.

Hope to post a bit of knife porn soon...

Hi, how do u order ur JYD II? I wanna get 1 too!

Thinking of getting a leatherman wave... is it any good? i'm not a collector... but i want one of these multitools with me when i go out... can be handy at times

i read that 154CM is superior to 420HC... but leatherman charge al too ex US$40 diff just for 154CM blade and aluminum handles... and most probably i getting from ebay (cheap!)... but idk worth it or not cuz tbh i won't use it that often...

advise pls
