I really suspect TLG just roll a dice to determine the local price for the Lego sets. :s22:

For example, all of below sets are selling at US$200 but their local price here varies from S$330 to S$400, regardless of whether license or not.

Slave 1 ---> S$330
Tumbler ---> S$390
Ferris Wheel ---> S$350
Cargo Train ---> S$330
Kwik-E-Mart ---> S$380
Airjitzu Temple ---> S$400
TIE Fighter ---> S$400

Sandcrawler is at US$300 and yet sold here for only S$450, if using same conversion ratio as the Ninjago temple it would be priced at S$600!

The dun role dice. They milk us all bcause we buy extra sets until their exclusives stock run dry. Simple economics, when demand outstrip supply, price go up regardless of which market. As a profitable company, they have every right to do so.

This type of sets just wait for massive discount from AMZN. Plus this set will linger for 3 to 4 years....no rush.

Diff buyers diff buying style... If one feel its affordable, go ahead and buy.. If not can always wait for discount or even dun go for it.. By keep buying and causing a strong demand, its not surprise that the prices keep going up
