do check out the BTU of the compressor. the total BTU from your fan-coils is 49k, which I seriously doubt the compressor would be able to support, but then again you probably would not be switching on all 4 fan coil units at one go.

Just thought you should know what you're getting.

sorry... haven't used hitachi aircon or even know anybody who uses it.

terumo 09-02-2009 09:52 PM

Hitachi sold by Gain City only, if i'm not wrong.

I bought one but its 1*18K BTU + 3*9K BTU from GC, but it won't be installed until Saturday. They threw in 5 years full extended warranty.

I think the price of Hitachi sys 4 invertor with installation is quite cheap ba, Hitachi equipment shld be cheaper then Mit or Daikin.

only $40 cheaper.

terumo 15-02-2009 05:17 PM

Then u shld consider getting Mit / Daikin.
Better brands and only $40 difference.

btw, in what way is mits better than hitachi?

i just didn't want an aircon that reminded me of jack neo....:s13: ;)

PDA_lover 18-02-2009 10:43 AM

Correct, i was told that mits sales are because of jack neo adv only; in practical sense it is not easy to clean the aircon the way jack neo explains and there are fair chances of breaking the removable parts which would cost you a bomb to replace

buying a system 4 Mitsubishi Electric multi split inverter from Hong Tar

I'm getting from Hongtar, because i nvr seen a bad comment about them. Let's see if the first bad comment comes from me. haha

BTW, does anyone know why they use different units combinations? Base on what room configuration will they decide on a units combinations? See following units combinations:

MXY-4A28VA / 4 X MSXY-GA10VA
MXY-4A28VA / MSXY-GA10VA x 3 / MSXY-GA13VA
MXY-4A28VA / MSXY-GA10VA x 2 / MSXY-GA13VA x 2

Hong Tar told me it has something to do with the distance of each unit from the compressor.
but Coolserve told me that it ONLY depends on the size of each room, not distance or anything else.

steventay 19-02-2009 02:58 PM

MXY-4A28VA

MSXY-GA10VA
MSXY-GA13VA cool room faster as it is using 13VA

u cannot have all on as yr compressor is only 28VA unless u get the MXY-4A36VA

if u are staying in old flat. u might able to install the higher compressor model MXY-4A36VA

some of my neighbour install 2 x Invertor System 2 as can on all.

beiyuan 19-02-2009 09:33 PM

What do you mean by cannot on all units? do you mean the aircons just take much longer time to cool the rooms OR do you mean the aircons will also spoil in the long run?

terumo 20-02-2009 01:43 AM

Hitachi noy well known in the aircon market. Take a look @ yr block. You see more Mit outdoor units or Hitachi?

kohss 08-03-2009 10:06 AM

How about LG air con (non inverter). Any review or comments about it? THanks!

terumo 08-03-2009 11:39 PM

All brand non-invertors are all similar. Use dual compressor technology. Only Daikin use single compresspr. Max to sys 3.
