alrighty we can surely meet one of the Sat evenings or Sun afternoons if convenient for u - i will bring my hub along also

BTW, an update : I'd prefer to get a brand new Sys 2 but since my other half wants to try out just the condenser (and recon one at that), I will defer to him.

It also does not help his aircon man contact (apparently not from this forum) has gone ahead on his own in haste to pay deposit for the condenser whilst we are still considering. Though we are not obliged in this case, I feel bad as he does meant well afterall so we will prob proceed with the condenser with him for his effort though i'm sure he can surely work out something with his supplier.

Erm. No comments on the deposit for outdoor unit.
Do update mi if u proceed and the result whether it works a not.
In theory, it should work.
He get Ft25bsg PCb x 3 and Ft50bsg PCb x 1.
And convert your ftk25 fcu to ft25 (non inverter) fcu to work with ur ma56.
Have u done the pressure test?

We Will most prob change condenser next sat. My other half prefers to install condenser 1st n test 'coolness' for a few days. If all's well he won't do pressure test.

What is a good place/dealer to get air con, installation & after sales service for 3 HDB rooms?

I went to Gain City but the staffs are not very helpful actually

The other 3 chain stores (Harvey, Best, Courts) like not really into the air-con business

mitsubishi air cons .... can't decide to get invertor or non-invertors

I don't regularly on my air-con (3 times a week max for 2 rooms max ... when i do, it is usually in the night (10pm - 6am)

Concern of not getting invertor types = High repair cost compared to non-invertor types if it breaks down or parts need to be changed (dunno if it is a myth or not)

Hi all the HWZ air-con specialists

Intend to get a system 3 for my new flat for 3 bed rooms (not for living room) and current targeting the followings:

1. Daikin inverter system 3 3MKD75DVM / FTKD25 X 3 (3 ticks R22)
2. Daikin inverter system 3 3MKS50ESG / FTKS25 X 3 (4 ticks R410A)
3. Mitsubishi Electric inverter system 3 MXY3A28 / MSYGE10VA X 3 (4 ticks R410A)

Would appreciate if you guys could advise me on the followings:

1. My usage is mainly for the master bedroom (8 hrs a day) and the study room (4 hrs a day). The balance unit at the guest room will only be occupied occasionally. Should I get an inverter or non-inverter air-con for my usage?

2. I read that air-con compressor is noisier for non-inverter models, is that true? As the air-con ledge is located just behind the wall which my bed will be lying against.

3. For 3 bed rooms (HDB 4 room flat so very small lol) is Daikin 3MKS50ESG sufficient?

4. Does the above Mitsubishi Electric models come with self cleaning dryer to prevent mould and fungus growth? I heard Mitsubishi Electric is more efficient however I am concern about the potential bad smell caused by the lack of auto self cleaning dryer feature.

5. The supplier will provide upgrade to armaflex class 1 insulation and G23 copper. Is it sufficient?

6. For the drainage PVC pipe, am I recommended to upgrade from 13mm to 16mm?

Hope all the experts here could give me some of your precious opinions on which model should I get based on my usage.

Many thanks!

heard more than 8hrs(or 12hrs) than use inverter. but than lesser usage from inverter also will save electricity.

2. I read that air-con compressor is noisier for non-inverter models, is that true? As the air-con ledge is located just behind the wall which my bed will be lying against.

for inverter, i dont tink it will be tat noiser, as when the room hav reached close to temp set, than condenser will run slower.

3. For 3 bed rooms (HDB 4 room flat so very small lol) is Daikin 3MKS50ESG sufficient?

3MKS50ESG will be sufficient if u dont always on all 3 units at the same time. it will take a longer time to cool the room if all 3 units is on. if yours a new flat? cos i knw newer flat bedroom is smaller.

4. Does the above Mitsubishi Electric models come with self cleaning dryer to prevent mould and fungus growth? I heard Mitsubishi Electric is more efficient however I am concern about the potential bad smell caused by the lack of auto self cleaning dryer feature.

tat self cleaning is actually to run fan mode for some time b4 u off the unit. i tink daikin inverter shld hav tat similar function.

5. The supplier will provide upgrade to armaflex class 1 insulation and G23 copper. Is it sufficient?

class 1 or class 0 also doesnt matter. cos tat is fire rating. G23 is gd enough. anyway for insulation, 1/2 inch is recommended.

6. For the drainage PVC pipe, am I recommended to upgrade from 13mm to 16mm?

up to u. bigger diameter pipe will take very very long for the jelly-like substances to clog your pipe.

Hope all the experts here could give me some of your precious opinions on which model should I get based on my usage.

Many thanks!
