NEVER TRUST GAIN CITY

NEVER TRUST GAIN CITY

I have bought a set of Hitachi inverter system 3 air-con last year for S$3,300 on their salesman's recommendation.

Actually, I wanted to buy Panasonic but the salesman serving me keep on pushing Hitachi. So, I bought a system 3. But after the installation I found that the air-con is not cold and only blow air. I then complaint to them and they sent the Hitachi technician down. The technician came down and gave the excuse of I have the air-con installed at the corner and then left.

Now, I do not use the system. I bought this system on credit card of 24 instalment payment and I'm still paying the monthly instalment. When the 24 month instalment is up I will throw away the Hitachi air-con and get a new system of another brand. Of course for one hundred and one per cent I will not go to Gain City.

They are only selling and pushing the brand that they have bought in big bulk at cheaper cost.

Hi guys

been reading the forum for a while and would like some advise on AC.

I am staying in a 4r HDB flat (old flat built before 1994). I am considering getting an AC for my room, which is along the corridor.

Is it advisable to get a sys 2 (1 for living room and 1 for my room), or just a single split (for my room)? Any differences on that (besides cooling both rooms, higher $ paid for installation for both AC)

Appreciate your help please! Thanks

I guess I should put full details in order to see which aircon is for me.

5 room hdb flat built in 1995. None of the room has aircon installed.
I want an aircon installed in my room which is a bedroom that has windows with metal square grill and a square windows of 250cm sq.
Which aircon unit for me to look for?
Preferably everyday 8 hours usage with 23 degree.

reason of changing air con

Currently, my house have a National Sys 3 which is more than 10 yrs old. So i think would be good to change.

The cable trunking is very well done, do you think it is advisable to keep the trunking and ask the contract to laid new piping? or just tear out the whole thing and install with new ones?

To ZawLee,

Single system will be suitable for u.
One blower, one compressor.

To bigbelly80,

The promo stated "for replacement only" in tiny wordings.
This means using back ur existing piping & not with new piping.
Do take note of that.
This is based on my understanding.

MXY-3A28VA/MSY-GE10VA&MSY-GE18VA

replace old, rerunning new pipe and trunking.

3k $, do you think the price reasonable?

18k btu for 18.5 Meter Square is it too much?

To oprahsbs,

18.5 sqm, 12k btu should be enough, unless u got open concept like link to kitchen.

To bigbelly80,

I suggest u take Mit Electric Starmex.
There is a reason where the Midea is cheap assuming the labour cost is the same.

Hi,

I am tinkin of getting Trends casement aircon to replace my current spoilt casement aircon, is it advisable?

The salesman told mi tat there is no difference in electricity savings if I buy a casement and a system 1 aircon, is it true?

Lastly, any forumers used this brand before? Any reviews?

Tia
