Gc and AB dun like to give breakdown. They only use standard pipe eg. 16mm water pipe n g23 copper. Can ask for g22 but abt 40-60 more per unit. Its not inferior but bloody more exp niah
GC that time come to my house to install and told me copper piping not cheap but is it better to use better one ?

Does it make any difference ?

To be pay safe then go for g22, but doesn't made a different, the most improtant was from the installer.

Anyhow good equipment, but don't have better skill also spoil the thing.

To Grizz.P,

If you are doing renovations, its best to replace all the pipings @ the same time.
The Aircon guy said my pipe is still good and still can re-use le. He said conceal piping usually use better quality ones and can last longer. He said 95% of his custoner in condo use back existing pipes and no problem. Dunno if I shld risk it or not.

Somehow I feel if pipe is still good and I change, abit wasted le.. Or you think I'm foolish not to change?

Changing piping is not that expensive so I think since you are renovating the house, might as well do so.

Dear all,

Any ideas where to get good air-con installation for Misubishi Electric system 4?
I want them to come onsite and see my current system 3 (quite complicated as the trunking go into built-in cupboard). thanks in advance.
Simple. Installer will shake head say unless use back same pipping, if not, unable to replace pipping without hacking ur cupboard. 3 options will be re-route pipping and will cost more and more ugly as more trunking ard ur hse.

I had to either 1) hacked and rebuilding all affected cupboard for re-pipping or 2) used back same pipping or 3) re-pipping with more trunking.

I end up I endure until I can upgrade and move hse, new AC installtion. Yeah!!

Good enough for 9+9+9+12+12?

BD 1 = nite usage 15.3m2
BD 2 = nite usage 16.95m2
BD 3 = spare 14.9m2
LR = evening 28.35m2
DR = overnite 24.57m2

of ceiling 2.6m ( some built in carpentry in all rooms )

Best possible combi for sys 3 plus 2 or sys 5 able to power?

Seem that only Toshiba got sys5, according to a trip to IMM last week.

Toying with idea of LG ArtCool,

Any suggestion?

Try with Daikin system 5
Or get ME 4A38VA adjusted on free current limit at 38k btu, good than enough.

Cause like 5 room flat can consider for 9k x 2 + 12k & 24k BTU.

Thks for the info.

So just 1 compressor can power all of them?

I am worried, in the event, all aircons, switched on, what would be the disadvantages?

Daily use, BD1 , BD2 & DR, 9+9+12 already 30k,

the ME u suggested is 38k sys4 only?

As my DR and LR will be 'closed' off at nite, thus would need 2 x 12.

Went to Daikin site, the SYS5 is supposed a 10kw, maybe 34k but?
But they had this 200% threshold and a 15.6kw working cycle, so is it a 46k load effiectively?
