hi a friend was recommended to consider this offer of a japan brand aircon sys1 inverter i think, brand new with full wty for under 480. before anyone start jump and attack, this offer was not from some subcon or individual no name seller, but by a rather renowned and even popular retailer here. and confirm not old or refurb set, is box brand new model. the only thing is installation is separate, about 200something. those recommending this said the product is genuine and the installation not bad. but my friend not sure because all us others usually talking in thousands and thousands, but don't mind can try see. asking on friend behalf, have anyone heard of this before..or any similar experience to share or to take note thanks!
Japan brand also inverter no such cheap thing lah..

Used set maybe can find at that price

the only thing not confirm is who installers coming do how good or bad
thats why asking anyone know?

Power point just related to fuse on MSB only.
The higher load may lock at 8.5A for full tuns on at same time, if just turn on 2 units the power still runing on lower amp only.

That meant the Aircon won't kick in as higher & optimum capacity on the compressor, that meant full turns may take some time to cooling down, unlike non current limitation would be kick in optimum capacity & BTUs for quickly cool down the room.
So even if theres no limit set on the compressor itself, it will only pull 8.5A max? Or if theres no current limit set on the a/c system and if the load goes higher than 8.5A it will trip the house? thanks!

Won't be trip lah, for your power point can be over load at 15A if maximum full load.

Just refer to the standard normal input watts was 2180w = 9.75A from the factory setting, also @ 7.5kw cooling capacity = 25,600 BTU they have minimum to maximum can be varies wattage from the compressor.

That meant in our unit has been lock at 8.5A = 1900w also maximum for tuns on 3 units FCU or maximum load, even you adjusted the lower temperature degree else.

So am i right to say some compressor units can set the current limit and if ever my block is being upgraded with higher electrical loading i can increase the limit?

Current limit is set by singapore side.
Cause due to hdb only allow for 8.5A only.

Unlike you ask the Aircon man turn on for you.
Otherwise there is only at input watt 1900w & 8.5A only.

If I'm installing 2 outdoor unit do I need to apply for permit? Or my installer will apply for me?

Anyway is 2 ourdoor unit allowed in the first place?

BTO 5 room flat?

If BTO 5 room flat should be ok for 2 condenser at outdoor
If BTO 4 room flat should check with HDB officer or refer their website.

Once got wiring issue or cause fire you will be a case on 4 room BTO flat.

Hi all,

My installation has already completed thus was wondering if anyone can show with pics or describe what is required to turn on the no limit cap on the Mit SM compressor?

I might try to ask my electrical wiring guy to help change if I know what's needed to.

Thanks & Regards,

Jeremy

just a update la

friend really went ahead install the sys1 inverter single. final cost of the unit itself is really under 480. installation was 200ish. saw all the original paperwork, genuine stuff covered by agent full wty, brand new box. if it is in anyway refurb or used, then i got to take my hat off whoever did the job, it has to be the best conjob i ever seen. the air con runs fine, cools down pretty fast, absolutely silent, can hear paperclip drop on floor type. looks like market is moving AWAY from those big 000s to the low 00s..now i am itchy backside thinking if i should get the same thing in my storeroom, then next time go in do things no need so stuffy

(oh btw, if full units are now this cheap and this good, wonder who would bother spend so much cleaning this washing that..just use and dump and rebuy every few years la! )

The large one 3x5m should go for 1.5hp = 12k at least otherwise will take some time to cooling down the room.

I though Panasonic price are same with Starmex right
If have better way just go for Starmex you will realise it is more higher quality than Pana at all.
