GA dont sell Daikin rite?

i prefer to go for daikin pro as they are listed on daikin website and if install by Pro there will be extra 3months warranty added in the 3yrs warranty. Pro should have better workmanship and using better material.
maybe Pro are more expensive comparing to those small firm but i check Gxxx Cxxx for Mitsubishi system same configuration about same price?
i rather spend abit more, in long run it is still worth as lesser headaches for problem due to the workmanship and material.

for installation spec i will go for
G22 copper pipe LHCT brand
at least 3/8 armaflex class 0
16mm drainage pipe
Keystone 4c40 control wire to fcu(if will to spend can consider upgrade to 3c70 wire)
for main power point to compressor the stand wire is 3c70

some firms maybe offering lower cheaper price but if you look the package they are giving lower grade material.
but at the end still depending on budget and how deep the pocket and willing to spend.
Maybe 3/8 insulation can upgrade to 1/2

Maybe can 3/8 insulation upgrade to 1/2
last time when i install my old system i did check around
3/8 is good enough and 1/2 inch is only bigger by 1/8 of an inch.
some said if using 1/2 the trunk inside might be very 'pack'? all the piping added together.
so far 3/8 aramflex is working well i myself got no problem with it and also never hear people complaint about it.
i more concern about the quality of the wire they using as my old system the wring giving me problem due to lousy quality.

2 set of GE10VA
1 set of GE13VA
1 set of GE26VA
G22 pipe and 1/2" insulation

To Boeing101,

The materials used are of good specs.
But price a bit on the high, maybe due to good quality of labour & materials.

Oh ya, my parent house also need install aircon. They have been using fan all their life. Currently thinking Panasonic.
But out of sudden, dalkin got extra 2 yr cover. So also consider.
But daikin got condition attach or not? Maybe after 3 yr they charge part gaogao?
I never impressed with daikIn. Their controllor in my work place i never know how to use. Hard to control the swing. Plus their weakest blow still very strong for me. If blow direct for too long, my skin pain.
Any comments?

thinking of getting either a portable air con/wall aircon or installing a single inverter for my room

what do you guys recommend I do?

current air con unit is giving me problems, stated in the servicing thread.

damn pissed off with my mother now and I rather just buy a new unit and settle it once and for all

will I be able to get my own personal piping done if I were to get single inverter?

Portable aircon consume alot energy and noisy, was using before i got split unit. My bill was $100-$115 when using portable, after getting split unit $75-78 same usage as portable.

was checking those single inverter units, smelly smelly 800-900

portable air con around 500, worst case scenario is buy the single inverter liao

otherwise I'm checking with my friend who will intro me a technician to fix it, very likely is piping issue

i wont waste money on portable air con
it simply not good enough and noisy

better think carefully how many system you getting or else installation done want to add in got to spend alot money redo again.
the main power point is one issue. you cant simply add another condenser outside and got enough space for the condenser or not also another problem.

better think carefully and install base on usage.
i was using a system 3 just like your case was thinking the spare room might use in future so install just incase
ended the system spoil after 6yrs and that spare room aircon was not even use 90% of the time. simply a big waste of money to me.
installed a system 2 now. i save the almost extra 1K from getting a system 3
i rather save the money and top for a whole new system in future.
