how do i calculate the partial load consumption for system 3 and 4?

daikin smile catalog http://www.daikin.com.sg/images/media/5_TICK_SMILE_SERIES.pdf

mks80qvmg, 3 9k btu fancoil minimum power input 0.30kw, if i use only 1 fancoil is the minimum 0.10kw ? if its 0.30kw, 24 hours usage x 30 days = 216kw for 1 room while mitsubishi 0.18kw = 129kw.

mitsubishi 4 ticks system 1 9k btu partial load 0.18kw 3.7k btu

mitsubishi 2 ticks system 1 24k btu partial load 0.60kw 8.2k btu

Hi ppl, is it really normal for the aircon compressor unit (outdoor unit) to be dripping water from the base?

i am using Toshiba and realise that there's water dripping from the base of the compressor unit when the aircon is in use.

anyone using toshiba and has similar experiences?

I've heard from one of the IDs that Starmex 5 ticks a bit unstable. Not sure if its true but maybe it's something to think about. I would go with option 3. At least you get a 12k unit.

I heard from 2 IDs and 1 air con specialist that the 5 ticks is a little unstable and the indoor unit is slightly noisier. They said that even the distributor is pushing to sell the 2 ticks rather than the 5 ticks.

Yeah! I checked with two Contractors. They both recommended ME 2 ticks. So I shall go with that. But I realised I will need a water pump to as there will be a u-shape for my drainage pipe due to beam issue. Sighh.

Any 5 ticks air con user?

Lower kWh is one of the reason stopping me at the moment.
Aircon salesman all says due to lower compressor power, aircon will take longer to cool or no power so won't be cool enough compared to the lower ticks model. Thought the tech should be better to compensate?

Any experts or opinion here.

Anybody here using the 5 ticks Mitsubishi starmex. I just ordered a set but after seeing some opinions here I'm torn if I should change to 2 ticks instead. Is it really that bad?

Me too, quite torn between 2 and 5 ticks, wanted the 5 but so far many sale personnel all recommend 2 ticks, not sure is it really better or they just trying to clear 2 ticks aircon

I was also struggling btw the old & new model. Most shops told me only compressor noisier, if anything happen should be rectified within the warranty period... even you buy a Merc, it could also breakdown wat ...

My reno contractor also said his 5 ticks aircon so far so good.

So at the end, settled with 5 ticks system .... altho no yet install ...

Living 18k is sufficient, unless kitchen is open concept, then 24k.
All bedrooms, 9k should be sufficient.

Hi Terumo

I am thinking or replacing my 16 year old fujitsu system 5 which is on its last legs.

I currently stay in a HDB 5 rm flat. Is it possible to install 2 sets of system 3? Need to have an aircon in the kitchen as well haha. Gets super hot in the afternoons. the rest will be for the 3 bedrooms and living / dining (which is L shaped).

Also, any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

You can check if the loading has been upgraded before a not.
If yes, can apply to HDB for second compressor.
If no, then have to get a system 5 instead.
