Have done up my Daikin system 4 , happy with the air conditioning, I like the features like , home leave mode, eco mode , outdoor silent mode , mold clean to avoid foul smell and sleep mode increase temperature to ideal air conditioning, all these features really help to cut down the electricity usuage, and the cooling is superb.
As Daikin is not suitable with budget constrain, it cost me $4850 done by Pro Shop Fortuna.

As old saying goes, Daikin only made air conditioning.
Agree, I love the features in my silver envi too, there is 3D air flow, outdoor quiet, Econ mode, auto louvers control on up, down, left and right which I dun need to adjust manually. Most importantly, my aircon remote controller comes with led backlit which I can see in the dark.

I still prefer the only manufacturer that manufacture aircon.

Ouch...

Will prefer Daikin if not for the cost.

Was provided the quote of $2950 with 2 12k Fancoil and a system 3 compressor.

I keep on asking the saleman which brand is better and always gotten the model answer.

"Electronic heng sway one leh. No such thing as which brand is better."

If you like starmex then starmex better lor, Daikin then daiken better...

Listen until i know how to repeat liao.
Was told by the sales person, those older generation non inverter really can last long long. But for inverters, failure rate is more or less the same across brands.

Like I mentioned I don't really trust in the brands nowadays, in Extended warranty I trust lol.

Is the breakdown, you wouldnt want to have the air con constantly break down even with EW, u be sleeping for days or weeks w/o air con.

next is the electricity bills, midea at 2 ticks has really bad electricity bills. the little bit of savings u have is gone in 1 or 2 years.

is not the inverter that fail, it is the pcb board on the fcu and compressor. as you know money cant be made if ur air con last. so they can whack you on the pcb. the pcb are cheap and can be designed to die after a certain period of time.

the pcb last within the warranty period thats why the warranty for the pcb is only 1 year. lol.

thats why i gearing towards LG and daikin for they dare to give 3-5 years respectively.

yes the pcb, it is always the pcb that uplorry first. few years back when inverters are not so popular, i always heard sales person saying inverter system low power consumption but high failure rate of pcb after warranty period is something I need to be aware of.

i am deciding between MHI or Daikin for a Sys4
i viewed at GC the sys4 model which they offered $4229

SCM80ZJS
3XSRK35MAS
1XSRK60ZMX

Issue here is because I will be hacking the kitchen, I will definitely need a stronger aircon unit for the living room to cool the kitchen area as well
any advice what kind of setup i should go for between MHI and Daikin??

i think 24k also not enuff for open kitchen concept. i suggest 12k x 2 instead of 1 x 24k. that will mean sys 5
