agree with you on the humidity level, my parents are complaining about dry skin and lips after i dropped in a 12k for that common room.
If I understand correctly the humidity problem that was posted earlier on oversize fcu, is not dry air causeing dry skin, but ratherthe fcu did not have time to keep the air dry, and result in condensation at the fan coil. It's a high relative humidity and low temp condition.

Any electrical hardware shop should sell the isolator but I don't think they will sell u only the cover.

Was given a quote of 4.7k for a 4R HDB 92sq.

Mitsubishi Electric Inverter
1 xMXY-4G28VA
3 x MSXY-FJ10VE
1 x MSXY-FJ24VE (System 4)
with 3/8” insulation, copper pipe gauge 23 and 16mm PVC

Is it expensive? Thank you.

if you still insist of open concept kitchen, for your floor plan, you will need a system 5 to get proper cooling and coverage. however it may also affect ur reno looks as you now need trunking to go to one near your kitchen and one at your tv area (instead of one at centre of your house as u saw us).

you can proceed with system 4 as planned but two tornado or 1 ceiling fan to blow the air into area not cooled by the 24k fcu. however it kinda defeat your original plan.

alternatively u can install a sys 3 for your rooms and a system 2 for your living room. the price of a system 3 and system 2 is not far off from a system 4 and 5. also it kinda prevent a disaster when the only compressor breaks down.

a 24kbtu needs 7KW to function properly and u should be able to see that not much compressor has abv 10kW for 4 to 5 fcu to be on at same time and most of high capacity compressor has only 2 ticks rating.

actually 1x casette air con at ceiling will solve your problem but alas hdb height may not be tall enough. haha.
already discussed with my home minster...shes not keen on 2 units in the living room
i think best case scenario would be Sys3 + Sys1

Single unit replacement Aircon

hi, i need help here. my current Toshiba aircon has cause my house power trip and after checking, we spend $480 to replace the fan.
however, after getting source from another aircon service staff, he recommend to get a replacement 1 - 1 unit.
he recommend Mitsubishi 1 and half. i do not know what he means but he says the price is about $1k plus.
just to check, do u all have any recommendation on single unit Mitsubishi inverter? model number? price?
my current Toshiba aircon has been working find for the past 8 years.
