the above Daikin uses R22, thus cheaper, yet lesser maintenance n problem. now R410 still very exp in terms of gas itself. so would recommend using R22 system now.. although the total price is abit exp, but i tink its worth it. Daikin only makes aircon, i believe it shld be better than other manufacturer. not sure wats others opinion..
Hi,

Just know that G...C give and $150 less of $2799 and also free $200 NTUC voucher so net net is $2499. They provide G22 copper pipe with 3/4" insulation for Mit Heavy Ind sys 3 inverter.

As compared to Daikin sys 3 R22 inverter, it is an saving of $500.

So bro, is Mit Heavy Industrial OK ?

Please advice.

I have the same sentiment with chunlianghere on Daikin aircon, thats why I choose Daikin

Using sys-3 non-inverter for my bedrooms and sys-1 inverter for my living room.

Hi,
Me too! R22 Daikin is still the best. My thinking is that whichever system running at higher pressure (r410a is 1.5 times higher than r22), it tends to leak more easily in joints if not installed properly so installers play a major role in the durability of the system.

If Daikin can give $200 ntuc voucher, then I don't mind re-consider this $500 different is a lot. For my case, I still need to pay $660 for cutting hole at false ceiling for piping...

Unless I dont change piping which I believe this is not recommended since it is already 10 years old piping.

Yours quite a good price...

I just bought mine at GC...

MHI sys 3 = $2699 free $200 NTUC voucher

Upgrade to Armaflex 1/2" and copper 22 with 16mm drain pipe = $180

Add 2 yrs service contract = $350

Extend to 5 yrs warranty = $359

S/S bracket = $150

Trade-In old sys 3 = -$150

Total = $3588

i assumed your old piping was running R22? If you change to R410a, then you'll have no choice but to change your piping.

since you've oredi decided on R22 Daikin... you do have a choice of re-using the old pipes...

Hi,
Yes, I can re-use my old piping BUT I believed my piping is leaking since I needed to top-up gas every year and many said that the leak will get worse as time come by. Furthermore, GC only discount like $150 for not laying new piping assuming I am using Daikin R22 inverter.

After serious consideration for whole 2 weeks, I decided to change piping. So if piping needs to change, then I have more choices. I can use either R22 or r410a. Then MHI is the cheapest running on r410a.

This is my case.
