I recently also just purchased the Roborock and Xiaomi Air Purifier 2S.
Both are set to SG regions. No need set to China.

I was surprised though because alot of posts stating that xiaomi air purifier cannot be registered to SG region, only can register to China region.

I checked with the seller on Qoo10 and he mentioned that the set i bought (those he selling) are international sets. That explains.
Ayy thank you for your input. May I ask which store you got your 2s from? Im eyeing on "1stShop" on Qoo10 now and is waiting for the 1111 sale. I should be getting the pro version instead because I can't find Max version's filter anywhere somehow.

Do whatsapp the seller and check on stock availability first though.

When i purchased my purifier, I thought they had ready stock but they didnt have probably because they just sold out.

In the end i waited for 2 weeks before my purifier was delivered.

Bought this $88 sharp air purifier, specs say is hepa, shorter height and comes with plasma ion?

how is sharp brand now?

*1 Recommended room size; Measured based on the JEM1467 standard of the Japan Electrical Manufacturers’ Association)
*2 Size of a room in which approximately 7,000 ions can be measured per cm3 in the centre of the room (at a height of approximately 1.2 meters from the floor) when the product is placed next to a wall and operated at the medium setting.
*3 HEPA is defined by Japan Electrical Manufacturers’ Association Standard, JEM 1467. The filter removes more than 99.97% of 0.3-micron dust particles.
*3 At a smoking rate of five cigarettes per day.

Also bought the same model few months back. I think Sharp no longer made in Japan, but mainly in China and Thailand.

Service centre in AMK (near AMK fire station). I went to get a replacement part for my Sharp fridge and it’s the same service centre for Sharp AP too.

How much you buy it for? Cant find info about this model, but seem is low cost high volume model for india market.

This cheaper than even xiaomi but have the necessary hepa filtering, good for basic use since design is just a fan to suck in and blow out?

hepa replacement about 2 years and cost $60.

I bought it for 149 , after $10 coupon form Sharp Offical Store on qoo10.

I think now they have sales for this model.

Just a basic model, suck in, go through the hepa filter and blow out. IMO, it’s good for basic usage in my BTO master bedroom. And it’s very silent on sleep model.

good to know it is deal now, will get another set for living room, almost same price as the replacement filter.

basic is enough as long is hepa certified, sometimes too much features and electronics spoil easier.

Does the ion produced in your machine makes the air smells fresher?

Samsung AX40

hi
I looked thru the long thread and saw the recommendation to buy Samsung AX40. However Qoo10 no longer sell the older model AX40H5000GMD. It now carry the new AX40M3030WMD which is SGD428.

Also found a Qoo10 subsite under goniglobal which sell the AX40K3020GWD for SGD320.

Does the new AX40 as good as the old AX40? Do they share the same filter?
I am also concern about ionizer function. Does the old and new AX40 support disabling Ionizer?

Hopefully AP experts can advise please.

someone wrote at low speed can hear the zizizizizi noise if working. my sounds have. in small hdb bedroom, i feel the air now smell closer to my office that uses high end APs, and aircon seems cooler, so i guess it is doing some filtering.

for $88, the build is simple and ok, no filmsy parts. high speed is audible whooshing, night mode is silent but not sure is useful filtering. i tried haze mode and set 8 hours timer. The air output seems directed a bit towards back, so i faced the backside front since placed it near wall, a bit eyesore to see the mesh vents but more practical.

our local version do not come with carbon filter, so bought a $30 3M filtrate pack, i think can last 4 changes if change every 4 months.

That's the first gen right? What, so cheap? It's a very good deal.

Issue is, it's a bit on the large side, even though the "main" dimension is the height and the actual footprint is not that big. However, it's still quite a bit visually imposing.

But i reckon it might be useful in big landed properties, mansionetts (eg tucked under the stairs) etc.
If new BTO, i think can forget it.
