PS. A 310 m3/hr max blast on a Xiaomi 2S is sufficient to clean the air in the room and after 15 mins you can throttle back to 120 m3/hr or so, no issue even for external AQI of 200. Have done that before, no issue.

But for internal pollutants like dust mite droppings (esp when you toss and churn) and indoor aircon FCU black mold source with the windows closed, not really the same hor.
And at just extremely minute levels you could trigger the allergy. And unfortunately for dust mite droppings (size ranges from around 2 to 10 microns for the smallest droppings, relatively big stuff), if the filter does not capture it, then you are gonna breathe it in. But still, it's going to help to a good extent.

Aircon FCU black mold travels through the air before you breathing it in. An AP or multiple APs with high airflow ACH would help.

Very different animals vs Haze.

Xiaomi 2S is ok. Very small footprint.

120-150 m3/hr airflow in lower speed settings is ok. You might need to learn to do some speed/period programming, coz the auto mode is useless, only kicks into higher fan speed at way over PSI 100 levels. iirc is over 75 ug/m3 detected by the internal laser particle counter then kick in faster fan speed. Else is useless.

No worries ba, the programming is a decent workaround.
Hi, alternatively is to use the manual mode correct?

Yeah, on the app. Only issue is that if the AP wifi module goes bonkers, you are on your own.

My Mfresh M8088A wifi gone liao. Luckily all modes controllable on the main LCD touch screen panel.

Now if the touch screen also goes, then bye bye. These are not buttons like on Sharp APs or what, which are of coz considered to be old fashion.

For me, just on/off, fan speed, dim the front panel LEDs, can liao. No need ioniser, add humidity, internets control.....coz i have more than enough horsepower to clean the air from say 200 ug/m3 to decent levels below 50 ug/m3 within 3-4 minutes.

Main thing is must be a workhorse. My Sharp KC-840 11 years old liao. And i'm just using those $4 a piece China HEPA.

All China H11 HEPA (measured to be 92%), except for the Mfresh M8088A which is true H12 HEPA (it's 99% thereabouts).

3 APs in the room. Mfresh M8088A actually is in lowest fan speed, coz i don't wanna load it too much. Most of the cleaning is done by the Samsung AX40 and Sharp KC-840 with China DIY HEPA, cut in size + sides stuffed with bubble wrap for sealing.

GPGT, proof that it works.
Few days ago Singapore haze.

Sudden transient peak @ 40k+ counts @ 0.5 microns

MBR (420 counts @ 0.5)

Mfresh M8088A H12, only 10 counts @ 0.5 microns lowest reading

Sharp KC-840 China DIY H11. Samsung AX40 is similar. 20 counts @ 0.5 microns lowest reading

Fwah......tempted. Good for emergency prepping. Small = easy to store and capable of 310 m3/hr during emergencies, in which you would not really care about 60+ dB of noise.

Xiaomi MAX Formaldehyde CADR = 100 m3/hr only.

Those aiming to counter VOCs/smells from PG etc.......forget it.

Thanks, I did not consider such potential issues. The PRO has manual button...

Can share more on this? So what kind of minimum level of formaldehyde cadr are we looking at to be able to efficiently reduce or remove smell?

Also does 颗粒物 CADR refers to cleaning of particulate matters such as mold, dust, pet dander etc?

If you want to reduce smell or VOCs, a very surface issue, i think for the average room size in Pasir Ris to Punggol, about 200m3/hr ought to be able to do it.
If you are looking at emergency prepping against disasters over at our neighbours, best to do like 400-500 m3/hr.

Yes, 颗粒物 means filtration of mold, dust, pet dander, and also dust mite and dust mite droppings....if they manage to float around due to strong airflow in the room ( eg powerful aircon drafts).

Dilute 1:70, wipe all surfaces. Put into spray bottle and spray away, wipe with microfibre cloth.

Go and buy microfibre in bulk.
