Utilities questions for taking over resales HDB

Hi all,

Anybody who has experience please come in and share...

scenario:
Say I will be taking over a resales HDB (flat A) on the 1 Sep 2019
(1 Sep 2019 onwards, I will be doing my reno, etc etc)

On 1 Nov 2019, buyer will take over my HDB (flat B) and starts their reno.

Tentatively, I will move say 25 Oct 2019 into flat A.

I am currently on OHM contract.

What is the sequence for me to settle utilities seamlessly?

1. Apply for utility account for flat A and set it to turn on on the 1 sep
2. Write in to SP services to terminate flat B account (effective 30 Oct)
3. Inform OHM of my flat A account info, so they can port contract for me

> is my understanding correct?

side question:
SP services will help to terminate my flat B citygas?
How do I check if citygas is possible in flat A (35yrs resales) at all?

sorry for the long questions...all very confusing to me..

u gotta do #3 first. OHM will return the contract to SP, so u will only settle between u and SP. do this soon cos it requires lead time.

the person taking over your flat, will automatically settle the cut-off from Flat B for you

same goes for flat A, assume the seller has done the cut off, it will auto transfer to you on 1 Sep
