Question 5.1 atmos setup

Hi!

I'm trying to build a setup for my new HDB.
I am building it around the Marantz SR6013/SR6014 receiver, but I want to keep the budget up to 2000 s$.
So, my speaker package options are limited to Mission, Wharfedale, Polk audio or used sets.
Any recommendations? it's a small 3room HDB, but I do intend to add 2 speakers for 5.1.2 atmos sooner than later.
If you have any cheap finds both in terms of the Marantz receiver (don't offer me onkyo or others) or the speaker packages - I'll be happy to consider.

Thanks!

No. Sr6013 costs about 1200 s$, so I got about 800 s$ for speakers

5.1 for $800 used should be enough but itz hard hunt them if you are particular about brand and condition. Also the front pair will be satellite or bookshelf.

I don't mind satellites. we want to keep the footprint minimal since the space is limited.

sure, just choose the brand/design you like. all these are good starting for surround enjoyment (lowest budget) there's always a better option if you spend more.

Marantz SR6013 is discontinued and SR6014 is introduced in 2019.
SR6014 for $1200? That’s a great deal cause overseas just way about that
https://www.crutchfield.com/S-3rnGnG...19-model.html?

I will spend a little more for such setup. Upgrade later means what? 1-2 yr later? That $800 a yr or 2 is close to nothing at resale. another $1k more will get u something U don't have to upgrade for a while unless U want a floor standing speakers. such as PARADIGM, Monitor Audio ($1.4k), Q acoustics ($1.4k) SVS or definitive technology. Even these are entry level for nice brands with small foot print. Nice sub is not small.

If you haven’t heard of IAG, fret not: you’ll certainly have heard of the classic hi-fi brands that are owned, designed and controlled by the technical wizards at IAG’s Shenzhen complex. Mission, Quad, Wharfedale, Audiolab and Castle Acoustics are all IAG brands, with a few more (mostly pro audio or high-end) besides.

Founded and owned by brothers Michael and Bernard Chang, the key element in IAG’s philosophy is to combine British design talent with Chinese manufacturing, and to do so in an integrated way – in one place – so that no aspect of product creation gets watered down or lost in translation.
