I think Denon X3600h is selling at 1099 after discount.
It was a mid range avr and price drop.
Denon sg online store sold out.
U need to try Courts, gaincity and see if the discounts still there and stocks available.

Thanks for all the quick replies and suggestions.

My front speakers are B&O Cm9 S2s. Thought want to add in a integrated stereo amp to drive them just for music purposes. Any furthur suggestions for a suitable stereo amp with budget of another 1-1.5k too? (IE Pre-amp out from the AVR to the stereo amp then to the CM9s).

You can't go wrong getting the Denon X3700H. Newer but also has 1 HDMI 2.1 (at 40Gbps) input port along with 1 output port whenever you are ready to use it.

The Denon X3600H was very well received. So you can't go wrong with the newer one.

As for Amplifier, if you don't mind a used set, I think getting the Emotiva XPA-3 gen 1 to power not only your left and right but also the centre makes for a good deal.

200W RMS per channel for all 3 channels driven at the same time.

The used set is going for $1300

Some say Yamaha sounds better for music than denon. But for home theatre and surround sound denon supposed to be better. All very subjective and personal I guess.

X3700h just debut on 7th this mth in uk. Not sure how long it will take to make it here.

Emotiva not officially in Singapore. Hard to repair and upkeep if things go wrong.

Btw, you need to know what you are getting into when you buy 2nd hand.

Eg, for the KAV-300IL I bought online (see my thread), its 20yrs old already. Don't expect it to be in perfect condition. Chances are you will need some work on the amp, esp. replacing the electrolytic capacitors (unless previous owner did it for you).

I just bought the S-300i at a good price........... But again, its 12yrs old. Original caps. Works fine but just a precaution esp. since the S-300i is made in China and the capacitors are crappy ones (VENT and Rscon). Replace them with good ones and it will serve you well for easily another 10yrs.

Do you know anyone who can do these caps?
Thanks

I believe most hifi repair shops can do it. Because its just desoldering the old ones and solder on new ones. But, I am not sure which one does a good job. Sorry, I have never tried any hifi repair shop before so I don't really know. I usually just do it myself.

These guys does a good job but they are in australia......sigh...
