I watch at least 1 movie per day (Netflix) ,my wife listens to song (YouTube + Spotify) . So I would prefer 50:50.
I think you should go for KEF Q series as KEF speaker are very netural and really play apart on accessories like jumper , cables and innerconnector able to future tune to your liking...if you into Bass would be Klipsch, Elac not sure as i didn't demo before...Focal and Dynaudio is great too....I also heard Neat acoustics speakers those are great for midrange.... actually is best to demo yourselves cause everyone have different taste

This is blending among sub and speakers.
EQ and room calibration plays a part as well.

Hard to comment on brand as I only play with Yamaha, Wharfdale and pioneer. Others not yet.
I didn't listen to Yamaha , but listened to Wharfedale Diamond 11.5 , 11.1 , 11CS /240C and WSub10 . What is your feedback on Wharfedale?

just get a very good 3-way floorstanding left and right speakers then add those cheap pioneer with atmos speaker built in for the rears and their atmos modules for the fronts. no need for centre speakers as it just narrows the soundstage of movies and subwoofers can be added later on but not necessary to have as most front LR speakers have enough oomph for movies. should be less than 4k and within your budget

For music center speaker will narrow the soundstage but for movies
it is mainly for dialogue.
Best to get 5.1.4, since Pioneer now have change distributor.

Hopefully they can spell the Pioneer Andrew jones package separately
which TS can consider.
This package cost about $1k+ with the atmos add on but for very
long it has been sold exclusive with Pioneer AVR only.

KEF Package: 5.1.2
Q750 (Front)
Q350 ( REAR Surround )
Q650C ( Center )
Kube 12B ( Sub woofer )
Q50A ( Atmos)

AVR : DENON 4500H

Share your views and like if you recommend . Suggest Satellite speaker for Front Height and Rear Height to make it 5.1.4 as I don't want to use UP firing speaker.
