If you just looking to get local mediacorp channels any indoor antenna should be fine. I just use the NMS antenna that came with the NMS set top box.

Again if you are looking to receive just local FTA channels and you plan to place your antenna near the window, a passive antenna should be enough. However, if you plan to place it behind your tv console etc, you might need an active antenna. Basically active antenna has power going into the antenna, you can buy a amplifier separately if you already have an antenna.

This is something like what I have.

Hi bros, I'm thinking to get one from Amazon after reading some review online, is it worth to buy the set with or without gaming controller?

With remote & With Controller - USD 198
With remote & Without Controller - USD 179

Is the gaming controller useful anyway? What game i can play on this device?
I will use it mainly for watching live BPL match & some live tv channel.

Sorry i have many questions, hope anyone can give me some advice. Thanks!

for your use, any simple android devices will fulfill.
the shield tv way powerful for your needs.

you can refer to the list of games here
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/shield/games/
game stream / android / geforce now.

game stream allows u to stream the games u own on Steam on the shield.
and, the controller can be useful if u decide to put some old school emulator on the shield.

Thank you for your info. Initially Im deciding between Shield TV and Mi Box.
I know Shield TV is overkill for my usage. But Mi box review say its not stable and not really 4k compatible.

I am bias towards Nvidia product. Right now I just need to confirm this allow me to watch "free" online free football matches, do i need the game controller, and I'll make the purchase.

Might as well get the controller. To buy the controller itself is SGD177. Get the gamepad package. You can use it to surf on chrome

No need vpn. If you have steam account, you will love your nvidia games section more. Get your wireless keyboard and mouse ready.
