Subwoofer cannot power up - SVS

Does anyone have any suggestion or recommendations for repairing my subwoofer please?

No idea when it happened but it cannot power up. Thanks.

Wah u mean SVS purposely create a difficult circuit board so that the usual electronics repairmen cannot fix it?

Wah lau. Didn't even use for more than 7 years and it broke down. And it's not cheap.

Uh if I'm not wrong KEC (SVS distributor) told me their repair fee is quite cheap or reasonable. If I remember correctly around $300? Best call them at Adelphi.

Oic... after 7 years I think that's pretty cheap when a new one costs at least $1k - $2k or more right?

Oic. So how much did u buy the sub for? Which model? Maybe can ask them if can trade in for new model also.

I expected it to at least last for 15 years since its not really something full of complicated movements.

I can't remember the price but it was not cheap. Maybe $1200?

Have you tried replacing the fuse ?

Hmm I'm not that skilled so don't know how to. I've yet to send it in for checks as nowadays so risky to go out.
