At the rate they are releasing Tengah flats, probably to make sure that the Jurong Region Line Tengah section has sustainable ridership when it opens in 2027, which is 7 months release 3 sites, or about 1 year release 5 sites ((3/7) x 12), and Tengah has about 35 residential sites (according to the master plan), Tengah flats may be 100% snap up in 7 years, by 2023. And all be completed by around 2027, in time for the Jurong Region Line opening.

So, it's probably only for 9 years it will be the newest town, as thereafter they will open up another town, which is probably Caldecott, or Seletar, or both.

Tengah they got say before will take 2 decades to develop. I dont think will be so fast 100% snap up by 7 years bah. Caldecott should be this year or next year release BTO. It wont be a new town, just part of Toa Payoh.

Seletar will be developed as next after Woodlands has finished developing.

"The Government aims to achieve this vision by creating transit-oriented developments, drawing up distinctive districts, capitalising on the waterfront, as well as enhancing connectivity and green networks. Incidentally, Woodlands is the third regional centre to be developed, after Tampines in 1992, Jurong East in 2008, and preceding the fourth, Seletar."

For $374K, you could get a 16th floor 3-room BTO flat at Dakota back in May 2017.

Fast forward to Feb 2019, and all $374K can get you is the same BTO unit type in Boon Keng... on the 2nd floor.

With 2 new MRT lines up this year, I think there will be more attractive BTO coming up in Woodlands soon.

Woodlands South (May'19 BTO) is probably the less attractive one compared to Woodlands North (future BTO).

Woodlands North may have waterfront flats coming up soon too.

Either way, Woodlands will not be the same Woodlands 5~10 years later with new Thomson-East Coast Line and new expressway linking to town. So from investment point of view I think it is pretty good.

Thank you!! Guess I will wait for Woodland north future BTO Hehehe 😍 hopefully will come out within this 1-2 years 🙏🏼

Woodlands south is easier to get out of woodlands though. North is more inside, so morning and evening jams may play a huge part when woodlands become more populated and developed, take punggol for example.

I think it’s easier to get good number for may19 bto too because most people will go for whampoa and tengah.

I totally agree with this comment. I was thinking very hard to whether apply for whampoa 3 room since I can’t afford their 4 room. For non mature 4 room is not an issue to me. So after seeing woodlands in May one, I decided to drop the idea of applying for Feb whampoa. And go for woodlands. And also like alalakam said, most will go for Whampoa in May. The underpass link exit, one of it is directly under the blk of the whampoa May BTO.

Good analysis. From drivers point of view, Woodlands North will have the new North-South Corridor (NSC) expressway to link to city area. The May BTO Woodlands South can take the SLE just beside and link up with NSC to city area. So yeah, its pretty much the same.

But true that most people will go for Tengah and Whampoa

But Tengah MRT stations won't be up until 2029 right... unless you are willing to put up with that for so long...

Woodland will be well developed in 5-10 years time. MRT opening end of this year, North South corridor, specialist hospital at Woodlands south, 2 GLS white plot of land above the new Woodlands station open for tender.

More offices opening up. First office building in woodland centre (Woods Square) will TOP end of this year.

Low entry point for now..

There is a planned hdb near woodlands mrt diagonally opposite RP.

That should be the best location for upcoming woodlands bto. Only problem is dunno when it is going to be out.

Thank you!! Guess I will wait for Woodland north future BTO Hehehe 😍 hopefully will come out within this 1-2 years 🙏🏼
