Cheating his way to buy an EC?

I went to Westwood EC show flat and spotted a couple , 1 Singaporean man and 1 China woman , together with an old Malay auntie.

I saw the Singaporean man signing some forms together with the Malay auntie. It seems to me that the Malay auntie isn't close to the couple. And the Malay auntie looks abit worried and was quiet throughout.

Fishy? Is that one way to get around some rules and restriction?

Don't read too much into it. I believe buying EC also need from a family. Unless there is joint single scheme.

In that case, it is legal and not cheat lo. If you are comfortable you can go go for the same scheme.

Well, the authority will have the final judgment based on their application status!

The applicants meet the condition apparently. What can the authority do when they are the one allowing such stupid rule - like allowing PR siblings to buy HDB flats in the past when they were not even 35 years old?

The old malay auntie could have been paid to be included in the application and chances is that she will go first. Worst is she may be made to go earlier.
