By this trend, the next SOBF should have quite a lot from the unpopular units 163, 177, 191.

Clementi Ridges 4-room units taken up after 8th day:
163: 28; 32; 18 38; 35; 05 07; nil; nil; 08;
165: 36; 33 38; 06; 09; nil; 18 34; 23; 30;
175: 18 28 32 36 38 40; 23 30 33 35 37 39; 11 17 31; 10 12 25 26 29; 08 16 21 22 27; 09 19 20 24 34; 13 15; 02 14;
177: nil; nil; 38; 10; nil; 07; 28; nil;
185: 16 17 18 37 40; 09 15 22 28 38 39; 14 20 29; 04 08 10 19 24 30 31 32 33 35 36; 034; 12 26 27; 23; 05 13 21 25;
187: 21 35 39; 18 23 38; 17 28 37; 27 33; 20 30; 29; 02 31 32 34 36 40; 16 22 25 26;

191: nil; nil; nil; 28; nil; nil; nil; 11;
Total 18+20+14+24+11+12+11+13=123 units
Most popular unit: 34x 175, 34x 185, 24x 187
Most popular level: 7x 38, 6x 18, 6x 28, 5x 35
Layout:
Overall: selected ratio is 36:86 vs available ratio 29:87 (1:3) (units in 185 & 191 vs the rest)
North facing: selected ratio is 34:61 vs available ratio 31:62 (1:2) (units in 185 vs 187 & 175)
312C: selected ratio is 36:32 vs available ratio 32:32 (units in 185 & 191 vs 187 & 189)
312C north facing: selected ratio is 34:24 vs available ratio 24:24 (units in 185 vs 187)

Those ratios are done trying to figure out if layout is a reason for people going for 185 instead of 187.

In case anyone missed out , heres the FB page again..

https://www.facebook.com/groups/350994494935976/

I think using FB page is great for sending updates and news to a group of people, but after some thought i feel it's not suitable if we want to do things like discussion, polls, mass orders, group buys, etc for which i think a dedicated forum to Clementi Ridges would be ideal.

unfortunately i wonder if a forum catering such a small specific group will be able to take off.. we have 600+ units available in CR.. if we can just get 200 of them on board this forum, i think the forum idea will take off...

These are figures I worked out from my own tracking, and for answering my own curiosity as to why is 185 so much favored over 187.

Basically, selected ratio means the number of units selected and available ratio means total number available initially. May be should renamed it... total ratio?

In the above case, I mean 36 units of 185+191 and 86 of other units (163/5, 175/7, 187/9) were selected. "Available" ratio means the total number of units to be built. Here it is 2 units : 6 units or 1:3 or 2*39 : 6*39.

187 is being taken up fast. Last to go seems to be 191. Thus, seems like layout is not a big issue.

oh gosh! the person with Queue number 1 took a 2nd floor unit!
2nd floor is okay what, to each their own means, and must say clementi units are not cheap either.

Anyway, in good times, in my opinion the low flooring unit sell even better than high flooring..

you're right. pls pardon my initial reaction =)

anyway my wife said something true, generally younger people like high floors, while older folks and non-chinese tend to favour mid and low floors.

The family who took the 2nd floor took a good unit imo, it's facing out to the south, and not facing into the pavillion/playground, which tends to be noisier.

I would prefer the playground which is a nicer view, though vice-versa people in playground can peek into one's home.

However, I personally would think #02-167 is not a good choice:
- main door is near rubbish chute and I heard it is not nice at low levels.
- windows face MRT tracks and I heard the track noise can be heard at low (and high) levels.
On the other hand, some of the nice things are:
- they will be the first (or 2nd after 161) to reach MRT station :)
- can exercise climbing stairs, good for health.
- can see what buses just passed.

Based on the surroundings, the lower units facing away from playground will be quieter than those on higher floors, as they are slightly insulated from the trees and being lower floor.

As noise travel upwards, those units from 5levels onwards will be alot more nosier and amplify

Ratio regarding layout becoming meaningless as units of 185 are almost gone.
Anyway, don't think people choose 185 for the layout as 191 is the 2nd least selected though it is likely due to junction of Ave 6 and Commonwealth Ave West. 185 is slightly more favored than 175 probably mainly because 312C is tilted and have the 5-room to block most afternoon and evening sun. Thus, I think the conclusion is that layout is not an important criteria, or may be many didn't notice the different in layouts.

Clementi Ridges 4-room units taken up after 10th day:

the no. of people they select each day for a specific room type is not constant every day..from the looks of it, the average rate shd be 5 ppl a day in order to reach your q. no in one months' time :)

you can check the last q. no invited to select each day in my HDBpage..the rate might be lower cos they're serving applicants from 3-, 4-, and 5-room units now.. don't worry, they would go by queue number still :)
