HDB's studio apartments at 37m2 and 47m2 are already so tight without study room. You want study room, need at less 50m2 plus.

for 1 + study should at least go for a study room (big enough to put wardrobe & single mattress) than a study area (enough for a table & chair only), a lot more flexible

AREA

ROOM

that top AC ledge though. It looks bigger than the toilet.

For that price can easily get a 5rm resale flat with 3rms and a study room for 400k plus like mine

Can rent out study room which is away from the 3 bedrooms for $500.

Can only get EA in Sengkang about 500k plus to 600k. Smaller than older ones and size includes ac ledge.

If 600+sqft, you might as well get 2 bedrooms

Agree. But since it's for own stay then it makes no difference

Some of the posts here quite funny. Yes tiny condo costs $700k & above & for that price can get an EA which is a lot bigger. But not everyone wants a big flat. If u are single & live alone, the bigger the flat the more time & energy u waste on cleaning. Even if u clean just once a week, will take at least half a day or more if u clean whole house including toilets.

Plus i can imagine its quite lonely staying alone in a big flat. So if a single has money to buy a condo & more importantly to pay the monthly conservancy fee, why not?

TBH the only thing holding me back from a 1 BR + study condo is the concern that if i get retrenched (choy!) & have to make do with another job which pays quite a bit less, or when i am retired, i MAY not be able to afford the conservancy fees till i uplorry.

Then if i have to sell it & move to hdb will lose more money PLUS the older u get the less hassle u want i.e moving house & reno.

It's called forcing your opinion on others. Lol

Anyway, I think TS budget of 500-600k is too low. But depending on whether you drive and all, the choice maybe different. Single I think best to stay near parents, u never know next time they may need your help more often
