Lock the electrical outlet?

Is there some way to lockup the usage of the electrical outlet?

To clarify, I want to prevent usage for the electrical outlet.

Was thinking of opening it up to disconnect the wiring from the pins but am worried it will affect other electrical outlets or switches.

Curious what would be the point of doing that. Child proofing the outlet? There are plastic covers for the outlets for that purpose

Renting out the place so to prevent unauthorized usage.
