Wrong. Should be CCK.
It's right beside the MRT track.

It's not, I went that area countless times to recce and honestly you need either walk at least 15 mins fast pace to reach the MRT, either that or take a bus ride.:(

Canberra mrt only few minutes. Simpang is not the appropriate name to use as Simpang New Town will not be developed until 2030 at least.

There will be shops, supermarket, eateries etc.

We are still far from 2030....:(

Besides the best location there is still the main cluster around sembawang station which unfortunately is all filled.

MBoI1986 30-03-2013 08:05 PM

2030 is still a very very long way.. Haha anyway i was hoping that the price is lesser than march bto as it is quite ulu...

Tough to be cheaper cos HDB likes to PEG BTO prices to resale records, and now even areas like sembawang when I did a check, the resale 4 room units have sold close to 500K these days.:(

has the news officially announced building of canberra station?

kippei 01-04-2013 09:25 PM

Upcoming Sales Launches

4In May 2013, HDB will offer 4,850 BTO flats in Choa Chu Kang, Hougang, Jurong West, Sembawang, and Woodlands. An additional 3,000 flats will be launched in a concurrent Sales of Balance Flats (SBF) exercise. More information on the flats offered under the May 2013 BTO exercise is available on the HDB InfoWEB. For 2013 as a whole, HDB will launch a total of 25,000 BTO flats.

MBoI1986 01-04-2013 09:38 PM

For the woodlands unit, there are not much development.. Wondering if there will be buses stopping in front of the flats there?

Normally with big projects like Sembawang, the car parks will have eateries and supermarkets.

420 good loh... punggol one in march BTO only 270+...

i think jurong west one got 4 blocks probably.

drove down to see the site already... area not that bad. just behind hua yi secondary school. currently is empty plot of land. surrounding is old HDB... about 15-20 mins walk to lakeside mrt.

:)

Have been studying the schools there for quite some time. That area, I think rarely pple will be walking to the MRT. But there are quite a few number of buses which most will take you to either Boon Lay or JE Mrt. So the travelling time down there is not too bad.

The food area there is relatively cheap and good. (pretty subjective)
:):):)

Not really suitable to walk to lake side, best is the feeder bus 334 to jurong east, which is gonna build hospital, one new mall, and already have IMM and Jcube. not bad..

kindaichi24 22-04-2013 08:51 PM

how to check got how many units of 4 rooms and 3 rooms? Which type of unit is easier to get? 4 or 3 rooms?

U probably have to wait till the details are out somewhere in May. Will also have to see how many units are allocated, then do your calculation. i am also waiting anxiously for the details

EmoFaith 23-04-2013 11:46 PM

Is the sembawang location consider good or bad?

MBoI1986 24-04-2013 08:25 AM

The location for this May BTO not very good.. But still gotta try Woodlands if the price is right. At least is significantly cost lesser than March BTO ones..

SBKDucati 24-04-2013 09:05 AM

I ponder if may sobf and july bto will have any mature estate that is near to the mrt?

depends on the price, and your guess on where the upcoming mrt station will be :o

kindaichi24 24-04-2013 07:36 PM

when should we submit HLE (HDB Loan Eligibility) request, before application of bto or after?

I guess you can even submit now to gauge how much max loan you can get so as to make a wiser choice of house type, area, etc.

For my case, I submitted during the first appointment. HDB officer helped us to prepare the application form.
