Another homebuyer said that despite the cooling measures, she would still go ahead to buy a property, after selling off her current home.


To be honest the cooling measure is not really affecting people who still maintain 1 ppty except for 5% additional cash which could be used to offset outstanding loan.

Wondering why is her e.g. being used...lame

Maybe you can try observed the market for a while than u decide to go and buy again.

But if u are ready i would suggest just go ahead and make the purchase now.

What is the new rule like ? Can only borrow 75% ? So 25% can be paid using CPF or cash ?

Yes . LTV 80% to 75%.
Many seasoned buyers would not have issue with extra 5% but some HDB upgraders or first timers may find difficulty with extra upfront cash / CPF of >$50k .

Can only borrow 75% ? So 25% can be paid using CPF or cash ?
