Yo guys. I was in Macau from sunday(1st day of CNY) to wed. The weather there is cooler than HK. We stayed at Hardrock Macau and visited other casinos such as Venetian & Grand Lisbo. We previously stayed at Venetian but found it a little expensive so this time we decide to try Hardrock and it was good =)

We visited e famous St Paul...which we previously went several times and wow I ate several street food while walking up the alley. Hmmm there is a corner shop at the beginning(parade square) of the alley that sells very nice hot noodle soup. I didnt take picture of the shop but its behind a portable stall selling "gao luck", near the famous "du egg" aka steamed egg shop.

For those who are going to Macau this few days, is gonna be cold.. abt 10degrees.
Anyway, there are alot of cheaper hotels in macau...around $500MOP. Search the web & u will be able to find.
But one thing i find it expensive is their taxi. Is relatively ex in my opinion.

Tell me yr intention for these places then i can intro accordingly.

Shenzhen is easier to find within yr budget.- I shall provide u the info on shenzen tml as the info is in my office..

Macau abit tough for 4 stars @ $100. You may wana try Holiday Inn, Metropark hotel or 骏景酒店. The rates in Macau changes everyday & it depends if it is peak period & weekend.

Shenzhen is a big city, it depends on what you want there. So let me know

Macau u mayb able to finish the sight seeing within one day if u r not into casino.
If not, u may need 2 days to move around the casino, places of interest & makan or even night entertainment.

@credmax That s unfortunate.

I actually stayed 3 months in HKG for work...about 15 years ago..
My intention was a short holiday with wife to check out Shenzhen and Macau..HKG came in as Tigers fare there is great--- cheaper than going straight to Macau or Shenzhen

Guess more interested in casino, eating and shopping plus spa, massage.Disneyland and Ocean Park not a must. Macau 3 stars hotel at below Sgd $100 also acceptable, preferr near the casino strip.

Oh really? How much is it to HK? DId you take in the 1hour time consumption on ferry to Macau & the ferry cost?

I would recommend Metropark hotel about MOP500 which has excellent location with some small eateries nearing it. Is near to various Casino.

Macau shopping not very idea as the district is very small & nothing to fancy.

As for Shenzhen, 深圳老地方酒店 深圳 罗湖区 东门南路1033号is a 3 star hotel but i feel is clean & good. Is about RMB300. Is near to everywhere especially for your wife who can shop in 东门 ( like Bugis)

Massage should be done in Shenzhen as it is cheaper there.
Alternatively, you may wana do massage in Zhuhai which is just across the border of Macau. There is big shopping mall 拱北 in Zhuhai just next to the custom. Abit similar to Far East Plaza.

Let me know if u need further info.
