I think you should cancel. With old folks and kids hard to move fast.

Was told that restaurants have chased people out of restaurants and closed their doors without collecting payment due to protests going on nearby. In such situations really no road to run.
Agreed. Cancel. Can always go another time.

Our govt already given travel advisory.

Took CX in Sep - oxygen bottles wasn't an issue but the food really sucks.

I am also considering to cancel my family trip with old folks and a child in Nov. Hotel booked and non cancellable. Sigh 😔
Perhaps you can write directly to the hotel to check? If you are booking the rooms on weekends, high chance there is no public transport, not safe and whatever reason you can give to the hotel to cancel.

i also same as u, with small kid and old folks, so i cancel my trip, my air tickets are able to get a full refund. but hotel refuse to refund as its non cancellation. So no choice, have to claim insurance. submit claim and it took 3 weeks to process, able to claim full amount.
