i did up a thread on recommended food places. Hope it benefits all!

Oh by the way, I went to London Restaurant and personally I feel the standard is quite low. The chicken feet and pork ribs are not as good as some of the Sg dim sum places.

I tried out the 百年鱼港 recommended by 1 forumer and its a lot better than London. Pricing-wise London is HKD$8 while the Bai Nian is HKD$8.8 (per dish during offer hours) so I really feel the latter is better. Location is near Yau Ma Tai Station exit. (has a big neon sign along Nathan road, can't miss it!)

Went to London as well but didnt manage to get a seat. too many old folks sitting down and reading papers. :p

so walked further on until this restaurant slightly after the Yau Ma Tei station (A1 exit). Restaurant entrance quite nice but also packed like sardines. If i remember correctly, its along Nathan road with Portland St behind it.. Saw quite a few 'gu wak zhai' outside the restaurant... sibei fierce and big sized.. my wifey initially didnt want to go in, in case got gangfight or wat... :s13:

but food wise, it was pretty good. although i still prefer Golden Bauhinia (spelling?) at the Convention Centre side.

Erh. check for the Stanford Hotels at JetAbout websites. They have these offers. While YMCA Int House, I called up the hotel directly to request for long staying package. 7 nights stay. While Stanford Hotel is at SGD 90 per room per night. I guess the offer is good!

When r u gg?

For hotels, I suggest u start here: http://www.asiatravel.com/hongkong.html
Gives u a good indicative rate before you zoom down on which few hotels you want. Go to their website and look for their special promo.

Check out my thread here for suggestions: http://forums.hardwarezone.com/forumdisplay.php?f=89

YMCA is located near Yau Ma Tei but i find it really far (in terms of walking distance) from Tsim Sha Tsui

Koolabee : Any idea with regards to Stanford Hotel (mong kok)? Im rather stuck between Stanford Hotel(SGD90 per room per night) & YMCA Int House(SGD120 per room per night). All inclusive of taxes already.

xiaolaohu : By the way, there are some bargains from JetAbout website. Quite a bargain i shld say. Even cheaper than those listed at the asiatravel website.

Any ideas??

Trip is on Jul 3-Jul10.

Pacino Wan? great..i'm looking for cool HK labels...will check it out if i'm going to Sha Tin. but at Sha Tin....will i be able to find other cool labels apart from Pacino Wan too? 'cos i'm too lazy to travel all the way there just for a single label. i like mega malls where everything/anything is under one roof

hmmm. Stanford hotel i don't have much idea. But from the location, its not exactly convinent IMHO cause its 3 streets away from the nearest MTR. But @ SGD$90, it seems quite ok.
For YMCA Int house, i saw it and the location is quite far up Nathan street. @ SGD$120, i think Dorsett Seaview would be more worth it as its location is better :)

Just my 2 cents!

for xiaolaohu, do check out United Airlines also. The total price with all in is $399 to n fro HK which is quite worth it.
Cathay all in is about $450.
I believe for Jetstar without any promo, its just over $300 if i am not wrong :)

Yes, I second that. HK Airport express is really nice and 1st class !
(Actually KLIA has the same system).
Their MTR system is also very good. In the train, there is inidcator to tell you exactly which direction the train is going and which door will open at next stop.
Is much better then our MRT!

10 time better then our MRT

5 time better then KLIA Express

Their HK Airport Express Train are faster, newer, 99% on time never miss a train.

Oh yes they got people to serivce you and help you to carry your stuff... More like the station master you saw every moring on the MRT train back here. :D
