At this time winter wear is available everywhere.

Specific eating place depends on what you specifically want to eat and the budget.

Smile Macau cheap hostel

Pics http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/redmonsoon/AugustersLodge

Heres my review for Augusters lodge in Macau. http://www.augusters.de/location-e.html

Cost: Budget accom
Stayed there for a nite.(only HK$250/x4 beds bunk).
There are double rms as well.

Location:Getting there
Very short walking distance(1 traffic stop) from Grand Lisboa Casino. From ferry terminal, hop on to FREE Grand Lisboa shuttle bus, don't worry no questions asked. On arrival, just walk out, turn right & walk to Augusters.

Cab fare from SANDS casino, on the other end of casino strip near Ferry, to Augusters is only abt HK$20.
Tell cab driver "Kam Loi 'dai ha'(Kam Loi building), can mention CTM, which is the mobile operator shop on Lvl1.
Cab to Airport abt HK$55 (BTW, we each save abt S$100 flying(Tiger) back from macau instead of from HK)

MUST try the egg tarts(HK/MOP$6) at cafe nata in the alley behind.

Getting around
From Augusters, its easy to follow main road and walk(quite near) to Senado Square and view the famous ruins St.Paul's Church.
We were there on a SUN and the bus were all free that day for some reason. Anyway there are easy bus guides at stops.

THE ROOMS
Well small but clean, no bed bugs.
Got to climb rather long flight of stairs(floor 3J), NOT recommended for older/weaker folks.

*Shared bathroom/toilet.(sorry forgot to take pic)
Basically 1 person can be using the wash basin, 1 bathing and another in the toilet at the same time, partitioned of course.
The toilet bowl 'area' is very small, just take 1 step and you're out..heh

Summary
Well, great price and good location. Some may dread climbing the stairs.
Room is tiny but fine.
Enjoy!

BTW, we saved lots of $$ flying out via macau(Tiger Airways) instead of HK(tax). Worth checking out & doing a comparision.

Hi Guys...just got back from HK 4 days ago. Thks alot for those who provide useful info in this thread and those who ans my enquires. Went to Citygate,Fa Yuen Street,Ladies Market,Temple Street and also Granville Street at Tsim Sha Tsui. Had alot of fun and saved alot of time and $$ as i got all the places and info in here before goin.

Looking for Toys/Figurines : You can try goin to Fa Yuen Street or Tung Cai Street, which is just beside Fa Yuen Street. There are alot of tall building. You have to actuali go into some of these building as the toys shops are located inside the buildings, not on the side of the street. The toys shop are normally located in the 2nd floor and abv of these buildings.

Looking for Sport Apparel : Can go Fa Yuen Street. It's like heaven for all those sports lover, esp soccer lovers! Soccer jerseys, limited edition shirts, boots, sneakers, jackets and all the latest shirts can be found there. Some of these jackets cannot be found in SG.Like AC Milan,Liverpool,Man Utd jackets SG dun hv but can be found there. One thing to take note is the sizes is generally smaller.Their XL is our SG L size only.A pity i cannot get cos no available sizes for me when i wanna get the Kops jacket. Most shop rarely carry XL or XXL sizes.I brought some stuffs there, authentic liverpool polo tee there, cost $30+ cheaper than SG! Same goes for the bags. ( Will take pics and put up when i have the time )

Looking for Ladies wear: As i go with my gf,no choice but also have to bring her shop too.Ladies can try Granville Rd at Tsim Sha Tsui. There many factory outlet but mostly selling ladies clothings and boots or accessories.Guys.....well..least u can ogle at the pretty gers if u go there with gf...kekeke

Citygate i go liao.If you into sports, then u can make a trip there.Got Addidas Factory Outlet,Nike and Espirit factory outlet there. The rest of the shops are nothing much to shop.Samsonite,Polo Ralph(damn exp!)and some other high end brands. There got a FOOD REPUBLIC foodcourt. Can try if u wish but exp compared to SG.

Weather now is getting colder. If you planning to go peak to see nite view, pls rember to bring jacket.Wah lau...damn chilling and cold! In fact, now everywhere u go,HKongers are wearing jackets liao, even in broad daylight.

Makan wise: Can go " Tang Chao" in Kowloon,100 Canton Rd,Tsim Sha Tsui. It's just opp Harbour City Shopping Ctr. Can also go Langham Place and there's a shop by the name "Honeymoon Dessert" -CHinese is called Man Ji. There got nice dessert. Dim Sum actuali where u eat is almost the same.Wanton Noodles is a must-try! Prawn Dumpling ( Har Gou ),steam rice ( Zhong Zai Fan ) and Beef Stewed Rice ( Niu Nan Fan ) can try.U can find all these in tea shop located in Fa Yuen Street,Tsim Sha Tsui and also at Causeway Bay.

Anyone that has any question on HK,i try to ans if i know.Pass the knowledge and let those goin benefit mah.. =P Hve fun!

Hey Yama****a...Prudential Hotel is near Jordan MTR station.

You can take the Airport Express Shuttle.

From / To Kowloon Station

K1 Service hours 06:18 - 23:10
(every 12 minutes)

MTR Jordan Station (Tak Shung School)
Whampoa Garden (Tak On Street)
Harbour Plaza Hotel
KCR Hung Hom Station
Harbour Plaza Metropolis
Eaton Hotel

From the what i remember, i alight somewhere at Tak Shung School. If u do have a HK map, u can refer to Austin Rd. You will alight there. From there navigate to Prudential Hotel. If come to worst to worst, take Airport Express then transfer to MTR then Alight at Jordan Station.

Hope it helps...
