Hi to all,
I have a few questions...
Cause I'm planning a trip for a group of friends, going around dec (yeah, still a long way i know :p), and we're looking at hk.

I have a few questions to ask...

1. Would the fashion there at that point of time be unsuitable for Singapore? i.e. autumn to near winter style clothes on sale?

2. I'm looking at 6-7 days, sufficient time to drop by Macau?

3. Tied to #2, would a budget of 1000+sgd suffice on free and easy? If not what would be a recommended budget?

Thanks alot in advance, I see alot of experienced travellers here, hope to get some inputs

Any1 has details on this project?

The HK government has approved MTR's Shatin-to-Central rail link project and will adopt a concession approach to fund the estimated construction cost of 37.4 billion Hong Kong dollars.

If I'm not mistaken, April is a busy month for conventions/exhibitions in HK. Had to pay 5 star price for a 3 star hotel once in April because of high room demand.

Wonder if going to HK this year for National Day break in August could be a killer because of the Olympics?

政府從營運和財政各方面仔細考慮後,決定採用服務經營權模式,出資約三百七十四億元興建。在該模式下,建成後港鐵公司將獲批服務經營權營運沙中線,而每年向政府繳付服務經營費。

I'm sorry if I'm not a regular here. I know it might still seem far off, I would want an answer anyway so I guess I'll bump the question again.

May not be spot on but i'll try to answer yr Qs:

1) Should be selling winter clothing during this period. Unlikely u'll find much if any summer clothing.

2) 6 to 7 days should be enough, setting aside 1 day for Macau

3) As long as u r not spending much on shopping, S$1000+ should be sufficient for 1 person. Bear in mind though some hotels may require a deposit, u'll also have to set aside travelling expenses, etc. In any case, a credit card should come in handy if u do run short of cash.
