Cool. You're still awake.

We're checked in at Disney Hotel on our last day in HK. Intend to leave the luggages at the concierge and have a walk around Disneyland (might go out of the park, if need be). Then once it's time to say goodbye, pick up the luggages and off to the airport we go.

:Later,

BTW, changed S$1k yesterday (Fri, 08 Sept 2006) @ The Arcade in Raffles Place MRT. Rate's at S$1 = HK$4.93.

Not sure if that $ will last for 6 days (for a party of 3: me, my wife, and a kid).

i see, i suppose u wont be utilising the airport express(AE) line on the last day then. U might want to consider the normal octupus since its only one AE trip, or perhaps if u use the MTR often for the first few 3 days then get the one way airport express octupus...which cost $220 on the other hand a normal one way ticket to kowloon station cost $90.

Regarding how to get from disney to Airport, theres 2 ways i can think of (excluding taking cabs)
1. Take the Tung Chung line from Sunny Bay to Tung Chung Station, and board S1 (bus) to the airport directly

2. Take R8/R8A (bus) to Lantau Link Toll plaza towards airport, and transfer to any Airport heading services - almost 3/4 of the services there goes to the airport.

Just to add on, trransferring at Tung Chung will definately be faster, however taking the bus might be problematic as u have luggages with u. Maybe u might want to take a taxi from Tung Chung instead.

Thanks CharmanderWong. If you don't mind, can you help take a look at our tentative here and see if we look ok?

Do you think I should swap the Ocean Park & Macau visits... making it Day 3 for the former, and Day 2 for the latter? I'm trying to avoid as much crowd as possible for the Ocean Park visit. This is so that my daughter will have a great time there. For Macau, not so worried about the crowd

Citygate shopping mall is at Tung Chung, the end of the Tung Chung MTR line. It is somewhere near to the airport and not in the city area.

more to add on city gate

you can buy a few factory outlets in city gate like Esprit & adidas & nike & levis.
Esprit factory outlets just open last month on 20+ aug and is the biggest in hk so far and the cheapest i seen
Tung Chong is quite a new town and nice place and you can take a bus 11 at Tung Chung termial to go Tai O and enjoy one of the best place in hk

Tai O ---> best food will be ah po mountian water bean curd, prawn paste, ton of satled fish and seafood. and bring you back to kampong of hk!!

Kuan Tong is more factory outlets i even seen

Hi, The cab cost is hk$40-60? What would be the cost for bus? Since there are 3 of us, might be cheaper to take a bus

Erm... Some more questions if u dun mind

For Fa Yuen Street, Ladies Street, Temple street, typically, how long is the street? Will need to spend how much time @ each area?

that depands where you want to go....

if you take a 16 seater small bus (xiao bus), is only HK$6

most of the place is stone throw or walking distance....

Best transport will be the MTR in hk.....

If you are to look @ www.ygdragon.net, you'll come into conclusion that cams & lenses are damn cheap.

I'm tempted to get a 350D Kit @ HK$4800. At 4.9HK$ per SG$, that's only $979.50. How much is this stuff selling in COMEX again?

Cheap hor?

:Later,

HK, cause way bay exchange rate is 4.7 in hk here...

for those coming to hk pls kindly change your money in singapore before you come for hoilday ar

Sorry.. just a bit confused here. For somebody who'll be staying in HK for 6 days, and do intend to take the Airport Express Train from Airport to the hotel (at Kowloon), should I get Normal or Tourist? I believe the latter is only good for 3 days right?

Our last day at HK will be at HK Disneyland... what's the best or cheapest way to go from there to the Airport?

:Later,

cheapest way to go from there to the Airport?
is by Airport express best

Best way is by Airport Express Train at HK$100 single trip to Hong Kong Station

hplanet, note that all Airport Express trains does not stop at Sunny Bay, thus it's not possible to board the airport express from Disney itself.
