you can eat anywhere in Tai Po area. Take a KCR to Tai Po and any resturant will do...

If you prefer to eat the real ""Pun Choi""

Please bring at least 4 - 6 friends and go to Ta Mei Tok Village for the real "Pun Choi""

You can have a BIG FEAST end of the day and enjoy some fresh air and cycle there in the day time.

I really enjoy the REAL old "Pun Choi" at Tai Mei Tok.

Transport: you can take a small bus (16 seat) Tai Po Town area after you visit the old market. Or go to Tai Po KCR Bus termial to take a "Gao Ba" mean 9 Bus number i forgt you can ask around.

Place: Tai Mei Tok Village

BTW, changed S$1k yesterday (Fri, 08 Sept 2006) @ The Arcade in Raffles Place MRT. Rate's at S$1 = HK$4.93.

Not sure if that $ will last for 6 days (for a party of 3: me, my wife, and a kid).

:Later,

HK$4.93 that a bloody GOOD xchange rate

hplanet, note that all Airport Express trains does not stop at Sunny Bay, thus it's not possible to board the airport express from Disney itself.

Noted.

From Airport to Disney

Take a taxi to Tung Chung Line then take a MTR to Sunny Bay Disney land.

Cost around not more then HK$80 per adult i think. Please correct me if i am wrong?

If 2 adults or more, better to take a taxi from HKIA to the hotel.
Save the hassle of lugging the luggage when changing from Airport Express to the shuttle. For 2 adults + 1 child = HK$250 difference of only HK$30 or so. It's much faster as well.

HK Disney and Ocean Park would be fine on weekdays as it's the school term now. Most of the visitors are from China though. Went there last Monday/Tuesday with my family..virtually little or no queues for most of the rides.
If you want fastest way to go to town is by Airport Express MTR Train. Around 30 mins to Town.

If you want to go direct from point A to point B that will be a taxi. Around 45 mins to Town.

Town can prefer to TST, Kowloon, Mongkok or HK Island side

Taken from
http://www.all-hotels.com/xbook/serv...hotl_id=382208

The hotel is a bit out of Central Hong Kong, but transportation is easily accessible. This hotel is located in Tsing Yi, conveniently just 30 minutes away from the International Airport. The closest MTR (Mass Transit Railway) stations are Kwai Fong Station and Tsing Yi Station, which are about 10 minutes drive from the hotel. The mini busses stop just in front of the hotel. The hotel is 30 to 40 minutes away by MTR ride to Tsim Sha Tsui and Central Hong Kong

Too out of the way for me.
OMG, your hotel is in Tsing Yi not in HK Island.

Transport is always MTR...

You seem very familiar with HongKong, you from there?
Anyway, i plan to go there with my GF during december season,
will there be any issue? i.e, cold weather, more expensive? roughly
around how much for a 4D3N or 5D4N F&E?

I am a local, just like you and me...

December Season is the best of HK and Tons of Winter Clothes and Super nice winter weather!!

Expansive = your budget?
Cold weather = Just bring more clothes to wear..

roughly
around how much for a 4D3N or 5D4N F&E? = That really depands what you want to do and your budget?

Lastly, i am still learning to get around and explore Hong Kong by taking all kinds of transportation...

Hi, i'm going HK in Nov with family of 4(2 teenage), on budget holiday 4D3N F&E by Jetstar.
Normally, on budget trip, tix to buy is Jetsaver rite since gg on budget?
As for accommodation, decided to go for Dragon Inn or Ah Shan hostel, any comments on this two in comparison of service and other issues?
Oh ya, the flight is in the morning 6.40am, so what time must be there for check-in?

Latest @ 1 hr before flight. Try Park Hotel @ Kowloon. Got it for $130 per night. Just about the cheapest I could find back then.

Search for my thread for details (haven't updated yet though. Busy since I came back).

:Later,
