Sim card at airport is about 100hkd, last time bought before
then started to purchase from klook: $9.29

If buy from qoo10 seems slightly expensive ...

If u want convenient, can buy from ChangiRecomends:

if you don't already own a starhub happy, then get a $8 card with $10 credit in it. $10 is enough to buy you 1.2gb valid for 30 days, or 2gb valid for 6 days.

i don't recommend you getting any card more expensive than the $8 card. if you need more credits, just topup from qoo10 using qpoints to offset 30%. also, please don't leave any balance behind to prevent accidental deduction. i always travel with my starhub happy with zero balance.

Some hotel such as dorsett mongkok has handy phones which provide hotel guests free unlimited mobile internet, local and international call.

Dorsett and Silka (and others that I am not too sure about) provide Freedy phone which gives free calls back to SG. and also allows a mobile hotspot.

but the phone is pretty rubbish, you really need a decent power bank, and u need to be an in-house guest to use the phone. so there are some drawbacks...

some hotels have a Handy Phone, which also provides a mobile hotspot. but doesn't have free calls back to sg (they are targetting US/UK visitors)...

at the moment, i am looking at cheaper accommodation or even airbnb. lol! so might go with starhub prepaid roaming

starhub prepaid seems to be the best choice. buy the global roaming internet.
