Hmm, DVB-C tuner is nothing special leh, unless you're referring to decoder box which is illegal here.
Any recommendations for a cheapo DVB-C tuner that doesn't have special sauce? I just want to view the FTA channels.

I searched qoo10 and lazada, they sell either tuner for PC (USB interface), or DVB-T2 tuner, but few hits for DVB-C tuners, and they cost $150-200, which I suspect means has the capabilities to view SCV paid channels illegally.

I checked alibaba they do sell normal DVB-C tuners from around US$5 by bulk, but I was unable to find similar boxes on qoo10/lazada.

Oh and I want DVB-C as I want to use the SCV port. I already have 3 SCV STB at home and dun wish to rent more just to watch FTA channels, and I dun want to use an indoor antenna.

I don't have the above. Happens to see this. Maybe some experts can advise whether can be use here. Use chrome translate function if you don't understand Chinese.

This type of STB usually come in combo form with support of DVB-T2. Try searching for Golden V8 in aliexpress or taobao.

Do take note that it's a matter of time before SH stop using cable as the mean for transmission of TV channels (FTA or paid).

Aliexpress seems to sell some of those DVB-C STB for around USD60 or so.

The TaoBao link do look attractive. I may be interested to buy too.

That will probably mean it would be better to get a DVB-T2/C STB for future-proofing. The moment SH stops DVB-C broadcast then switch back to DVB-T2.

I found Golden V8 on Lazada, but not sure I want to pay $9x. Unless it's also an Android TV box that can do DLNA or run Kodi, which I believe the Golden V8 doesn't do?

EDIT: this looks promising tho: https://world.taobao.com/item/548174....35nCAD#detail

Then I rather stop watching FTA if they make it so difficult to tune in. I mean come on we're in 2017 and we're still using indoor antennas
Dvb-c? Go get a second hand dreambox.
Thanks for the suggestion!

With a separate box, you should be able to connect to multiple using a splitter. Not a switcher, but a splitter. If your stb is output HDMI, u can get 2-way HDMI splitter off Carousell, or go shop buy more expensive brand eg Daiyo but those I believe have signal boosters and split more.

It's definitely running some sort of Linux OS and come with some apps. DLNA is supported but not Kodi.

As for Freesat GTT, there is no mention of V1.3.1 (Lite) standard under DVB-T2 specs.

Anyway, might want to check Freesat site/forum for more info before proceeding further.

If the tv sets are use by different users to watch different programmes at the same time, then you need separate set top boxes and their own antennae.

Then ur multiple TV is put side by side ar? Lol.

One box multiple TV means all TV is displaying same channel, u have only one remote.
