Don't think so since RMVB is not a popular format anymore even in China.

As we are still using H.264....China is already pushing for H.265 on their streaming website.
Not popular doesn't meant the codec cannot be included in player, K2/3 STB support it but doesn't support Unicode, what a joke!

H.265 is there to cater to 4K format, most embedded player still doesn't have the hardware/software to support it.

AFAIK, they are doing away with laying SCV TV cable point for new BTO flat. Not sure if this is what you're referring to!

Nope, this STB is meant for cable TV, I don't see why they would include DVB-T2 tuner in their box!

Someone asked this before and was told by IMDA to use their NRIC to redeem. Whether this is acceptable to the retailer remains to be seen as they seem to only accept the DTV kit.

Go to website and apply. They will re-send the letter. Don't bother going down to show the staff your NRIC, due to personal data protection, they can't collect your NRIC number. They need the letter to get money from IMDA.

Nope, no rooftop antenna and no Starhub cable point. Only fibre point for your internet, IP phone, IPTV (Starhub/Singtel/Netflix/Toggle)

You can watch Mediacorp programmes live on Toggle.sg also.

You sure about that?

According to their FAQ:
I lost my DTV Starter Kit notification letter. Can I still redeem the DTV Starter Kit?

If you are the addressee on the notification letter, you can still redeem the DTV Starter Kit by producing your NRIC. The address on your NRIC will have to match the address stated on the letter for the redemption to be successful.

one main objective of the imda's dvb-t2 initiative is to remove all tv points.

I did not received my letter so I called IMDA to tell them to send my another one. The reply was " don't need to wait for letter, just bring IC to the 4 shops ".

No such thing as personal data protection for this case. Even you bring the letter, which has name and ic no stated, you still need to produce ic to the cashiers for them to check before they hand over the sets to you.
