Suspect it’s not the hdmi cable issue as I can get to the Draco main screen on the tv when it’s power up.

It transits to shows a “no signal” (round icon) at the center of the screen. Thanks

pull out the hdmi cable when you see the 'no signal' icon on tv, if the icon remains after pulling out the cable, then it is due to wrong screen resolution setting on draco.

btw, what is the model no of the tv?

Yea. Uncle & Ceca came & troubleshoot, told me they are not from Draco. Mentioned big tv box has lesser problem, the smaller tv box got alot of problems. :s22: left after 5min.

Apparently they are just one of the many contractors by Mediacorp.

Have to go down to Draco to get a replacement set. Up the lorry riao.

Thanks everyone for all the help rendered!!

if the passive antenna can't work for you, it is better to get a good active antenna, e.g funke 250/550

there are many sellers in carousell selling funke 250 for $15-$20

most likely these are 'bought' by the sellers using IMDA's $100 voucher.

The top one is the newer model provided by IMDA under the DTV Starter Kit scheme. The one has a lot of complaints/issues and seem to fail fairly quickly.

The bottom one is the Konka brand selling under NMS. In short, probably old stock, have seen this model selling in NTUC Xtra like 2-3yrs back. Not much info on this, personally haven't come across any complaints on this model.

there is no standard answer. if the signal near your tv is too weak, no active antenna can do the job.

if you are lucky, you can receive properly even with a $2 passive antenna placed next to tv.

if not, then you may have to place your active antenna nearer to window.

for my house (doesn't represent general case) - I can't receive with funke antenna placed next to tv, but I can receive properly with >90% signal quality with a $2 antenna placed 2m away from tv.

If you're not going to place near window then better opt for higher end funke antenna like DSC550, DSC560, combo 5.1 but again it still depend on your house signal condition, there is no guarantee.
