If connect to HDB wall socket and got only these 2 channels means what huh? Bad reception or roof top antenna got filter?

UHF29 - 538MHz
Suria (HD) - live
Channel 5 (HD) - live

I tried using a Draco Digital Indoor Antenna and now can receive Ch8, Ch U etc. But cannot receive Suria and Ch 5 HD anymore

why like that?

yep!
now looking at DAIYO EU 1702/SOUNDTECH TVA-600 for indoor antenna and getmecom hd9 for STB.

no one doing MO for getmecom?
I got a Getmecom hd9 from Indo thru a friend recently.

When scanning for channels, it ends at 690MHz. Many indonesian stations residing above 690MHz. Do take note if you need those higher freq channels.

Also from what I understand, currently only west Java is DVB ready where Sumatra, which is nearer to us, is another year to go. Reception could be better by then.

You can do a manual scan for those frequencies above 690MHz.
Increment by the arrow on the remote or input directly using numbers, if I remember correctly.

As for reception, I doubt the signals from Sumatra would be strong enough to reach our shores. It's too far away.
The signals we are getting for Indonesian channels are from Batam.
They have DVB-T2 already. Some here were able to receive.

Which tuner box you using? The Ali chipset 9003 from aliexpress?

Try it yourself, use EPG to record a Hollywood movie or any program that stretches for 2hours inclusive of ad. The recording will stop once the file hit 4G & into maybe ~40 minutes or 1/3 of the 2hours running time....
4G limit for fat32 can be fixed.

Thanks for the tips, will try tuning again.

Sounds logical for signal from Riau to reach us as Riau DVB was launched together with Java.
But just for curiousity, how does Riau get its broadcast signal from ?
Any idea can the Getmecom FW be upgraded ? eg,it cant play RMVB which I am quite disappointed.

Thanks in advance

Riau gets in broadcast signal from Java thru satellite relay.
Uplink from Java and downlink to a receiving station in Riau.

There is an option somewhere in the USB Menu for upgrade I think.
But don't bet on it. God knows when and where they would release the updated firmware.

Don't understand why punggol and sengkang roll out date is 2015/2016. This 2 area has more youngster (technological savvy people) living in it and the utilization rate for DVB-T2 will be much higher. Am I missing out something?

Because these people are smarter, they can help themselves to work out something out of nothing.

in my personal opinion, unless you have 1080p HD TV,
there is no visual difference between current transmission
and HD transmission

if still using 720p TV don't need waste money for the digital
broadcast it hears looks the same whether use SCV/MATV
/DVBT/T2 etc.
