1. Yes.
2. No need, somehow my default option always has sound. When I press "Audio", there were usually 3 audio channels to choose from, some has no sound presumably because it's expecting to output to dolby digital plus 5.1 which I don't have the audio receiver to decode that. So, I guess that's normal. For the default stereo I always have sound.
3. Standard quality, can't tell much as I'm connecting to a HD-Ready 720p 32" TV. Yes, connected via HDMI.
4. Never encounter audio out-of-sync so far.
Thanks a lot for sharing!

Anyone has feedback on this Android DVB-T2 box?

I've also been looking for a DLNA and Miracast capable box, so if DVB-T2 reception works well then can save hassle with just 1 device hehe.

Price wise it's about twice that of DVB-T2-only boxes

Re

You need a DVB-T2 indoor antenna with booster/amplifier function as the SCV point isn't made to transmit DVB-T2 signals.

From what I know if you subscribe to cable TV then the SCV point will be activated to receive digital channels. For non-subscribers you can only receive analog channels

As for me I connected my 2 tvs through a splitter to the very old TV/FM point and I can receive digital channels.

Not all flats have MATV points as they are available only in old HDB flats. mingfreakrsx is correct. Besides payTV, the other official recommended way to watch Mediacorp DVB-T2 channels is to use a UHF antenna that is able to receive broadcast signals in the UHF channels 21~69 (470~862 MHz). Below is the link to the official FAQ,

Yes, the SCV point transmit analog and digital DVB-C signals but not digital DVB-T/T2 signals.

I bought $3 Powerpac metal ring antenna in neighborhood shop for the 75 to 300 ohm balun.

My antenna is made from 2 pieces of steel wire bent into a www shape and clip to the balun with crocodile clip. The indoor antenna is hang under the window grilles, dun dare to put too high scared kena lightning strike.

so far my reception of the main 4 channels is in HD, Channel U, OKTO and CNA reception in SD and also not too clear with some jitter. Cannot find any Malaysia or Indo channel at all.

Area staying is Bukit Panjang

Hi all,

My TV card is spoilt. Should I get a new TV card or get a TV box? My room have the "wall socket TV port".

2nd question is my sister room don't have the "wall socket TV port" because it is very old and never upgrade. If my sister want to watch TV program using laptop, does TV box works?

You can try this model SP1505-SS DVB-T2 HD Receiver from URAKU.

Support HDMI audio passthrough and downmix.

Another new function, this model can play RMVB, RM, FLV, MKV, MP4, etc.
