Those are the analogue Mediacorp FTA channels that StarHub relayed through their cable infrastructure.
OK, wait for my antenna to arrive..............................

An investigation I carried out with a fellow HWZ bro much earlier this year:
P/S: (Just sharing for knowledge, might NOT be true for other models/brands)

This extra investigation is just for our findings. And maybe might be useful for others who has the same TV model that claims to have DVB-C tuner as well.

Yes, Samsung states that their model has DVB-T2/C + Analogue tuner.
No arguments with the T2 and analogue tuner.
But I believe the DVB-C tuner is region-locked.

That's why the option "Cable" doesn't appear in the sub-menu for you to select. The tuner is actually there, dormant. But locked by software according to the region.

There is a forum for Samsung Smart TV enthusiast who wants to meddle with their firmware. Modifying it to enable certain locked features and etc.
There is this Vietnamese guy who has a Samsung UA model (similar to yours). He has problems with the analog channels delivered over cable (just like StarHub relaying MediaCorp analog channels), bad image, snowy etc. He wants to tune to the the digital DVB-C channels over that cable point.

But the DVB-C, was like I said, disabled by region.
He had to go the Samsung's Extended Service Menu, to change Region/Localset to PANEURO/EU to enable the DVB-C tuner.

The option to select ''Cable'' then appear and he was able to tune successfully to the DVB-C digital channels by his cable provider.

The TV however recognised his UA40EH5300 as UE46EH5300.
I assume the the A stands for Asia and E stands for Euro.
Thanks for the feedback. In that case, then for most ppl, they won't be able to get the starhub unencrypted dvb-c on their tv....

For those having Samsung models, especially the UA ones, yeah I guess so.

But I saw some earlier posts, there are a few who have particular Philips model having DVB-C/DVB-T tuners, they were able to utilize their DVB-C tuner. Guess it depends on the manufacturer brand and whether they region-lock their firmware/software to limit certain functionalities.

Download Samsung Smart View 2.0 app from App Store/Play Store and you can use the app as a remote control to control your TV.

official Lifetime channel (non-HD) on Ch514 156.50Mhz is encrypted, however there's another starhub ch, Ch 1117 (the name of the Ch is called "Ch 514" on 522Mhz) is showing Lifetime as well & its not encrypted~

if u hv starhub box, press 1117, if u hv dvb-c scan 522Mhz/6875/QAM256~
