i'm staying on 7th floor, so probably higher is stronger?

hi would like to seek some advice here

I bought the Daiyo TV digital antenna EU1701 and hooked up to my LG plasma which has idTV. Used the normal auto tuning function but can't get TVmobile or any of the digital signals. Even the normal channel U, 8 picture quality is worse than the normal analogue signals tapped from the socket point

Am I doing anything wrong here? I stay in Yishun blk 2xx and read around the threads here the Daiyo antenna is probably the most value for $$

Haiz invested in it already, there is a gain DB tuning knob on the Daiyo, is there anyway we can enhance it to improve the performance maybe?

I oso got a cheapo $14 Daiyo antenna, without power amplifier de. I guess you must place it near the window, and keep adjusting the position. Channel 29 is for Digital 5, 8, CNA, and 37 and 38 for HD5 and TVMobile.

cool, shouldn't be a problem getting hd5 then =)
Yup I hope, will be getting the extension cable soon =)

my own experience have been that the omnidirectional type of antennae is more effective than the directional type (eg. the Draco Ant100 powered or otherwise). I hv actually bought the tiny sticklike ant (omnidirectional) to replace the ant100...tsk, tsk, $10+ cp to $49!!!

Daiyo HDTV Digital Antenna (EU1701) is also a directional ant.

looks similar to this, with or w/o the spiral section:
http://www.fotosearch.com/FSA783/x23987552/ ...about 6in long.

Disclaimer: ur location/area matters in receiving tv signals not just the antenna.

Just bought Samsung 40B530 LCD TV but the analog programs don't seems to be good. May I know where can I purchase antenna (cheap one will do)? How much does it cost and what programs can I receive (I lived in Toa Payoh Central area)? Thx all ~ Heard Daiyo one is quite good?!

I have a TV with internal DVB-T tuner (Bravia W5500). I can get HD5, Dgital 8, Digital 5 and Digital CNA using a $12 antenna.

Hi, where did you buy the antenna from?

Just went to Giant and got myself a Soundtech TVA-702 at $12.89... Working well with my Panasonic G11. Can receive HD5, Digital 5, 8 & CNA as well as TV mobile.

However, my antenna needs to be placed near the window to get good reception for all the channels. Luckily my TV is placed near my window or else jialat liao...

where u live ah

hmm from giant a antrenna called sountech hmm sounds familr
i go cehck out myself
your pana g11 got inbuilt dvb-t tuner ah?

i seen dvb-t pic quality before its quite sharp
on a vehicle as my friend modded his van
and view tv program
so makes me think harder since our free to air program from mediacorp
on our lcd looks crappy

am i am interested to have better pic quaklity and not aiming for HD 5 lor
since lcd tv pic on free to air sucks so if this dvb-t can improve our pic quality and most of new lcd tv got builtin tuner so why not

i wonder do u guys know those portable dvb-t + analog usb tuner for laptop or pc right
we can just buy them to test if our locations is good enought to get the signal then if proven can get
we can go get our lcd tv with dvb-t tuner and the anterra aslo
since investment on the lcd tv is big

as compare to a mere 100+ usb tuner on a laptop
i wonder this usb dvb-t tuner same dvb as what u all mentioning in here right?

I live in Toh Guan and u can see the antenna on the 4th page at http://www.heanlee.com.sg/visual.html.
Yep, my Pana G11 have the DVB tuner and digital channels and HD5 are quite clear.

My headache now is analogue channels. Only can get clear reception if go thru the Starhub cable point... Trying to find a good way so that can switch between the two easily.
