Arrow Panasonic TVs users please come in.

As I am getting my new TV the TH58DX700s, I will like to know more about the benefits of the Panasonic eco system.

As I notice that nowadays the more popular brands are LG, Samsung and to a certain extent Sony, I feel that Panasonic TVs are getting scarce.

Share your experiences with your Panasonic TVs and why you still stick to this trusted brand.

Panasonic all latest 2018 TV model include TH58DX700s and Sony all latest 2018 TV model using samsung 2nd grade LCD Panel. In term of sharpness, Samsung all MU6xxx model screen pro are better than them. You may look up for display set compare it on side by side. You will tell the different alot

Just my 2 cents

Panels are just a factor. The motion processor, design and image quality are also important considerations.

Yes. Panel is one factor but the most important factor. Motion processor is depend on tunning from maker. Chips/processor mostly from same manufacturer too.
Is all "software", or some call firmware.

You can always turn off these "artificial" effect via menu. In the show room, every brand will try to turn on these effect and at max brightness to impress their potential buyer.

Of course but i feel there are equally important. 2 different TV can be using the same panel but one might look more impressive than the other due to optimisation of the firmware and motion processing.

Yes you can disable all those software processing on both tv for a more apple to apple comparison but there might still be differences in the image quality, probably due to circuitry and other factors.

Ultimately price also comes into play. Would i want to top up another 1k for a 1st rated panel compared to a 2nd rated panel?

I have seen countless Samsung TV and i tend to agree on these. The amount of artificial processing is quite staggering.

Not sure if it's a good price as it was an impulse buy😅. But i am sure it won't go lower than that anymore since it's already close to EOL and stocks are mostly dried up.

bought Panasonic 55EZ950s from best denki yesterday.
saw it in the AH sale selling $2999, went over to HN saw it was selling $2700 because of grand opening sale. but in the end bought in BD because of the sale staff's patience and informative demo. The rest of the 2 shops' staff cannot be bother ..

very good price for OLED TV.
was looking for 58EX750s but end up buying the OLED .. nice..
