I though 8000 series has been discontinued and replaced by Q60 series?

Q60R = 2019 model (Entry level QLED)

Q60T = 2020 model (Entry level QLED)

TU8000 = 2020 model

Good to know this. If price is very close to entry level QLED Q60. Go for QLED model.

is the LG a IPS panel?

I have seen the 8000 series in the shop. I think the Qled is better for movies. If you are those who need lots of detail, brightness, contrast etc, go for Qled

If your content is more news, tv serial, TU8000 is ok.
