Question Samsung is refunding me $730 for a 42" tv

Hi,

My 3 years old Samsung 40" TV have some audio problems but is not that obvious.

Got it for $1190 and coz the model is too old and they can't fixed it and are refunding me $730 and they will be collecting the TV set back.

Is it worth it? or should i just tell them its ok and ignore the minor sound problems?

Is it possible to get a 40" Samsung LED tv below $800?

Thanks!

actually for your 3 years old LCD tv, it probably won't be able to fetch such a high price of $720. Its a steal, just a little top up you can get a 40"" LED.
a top up of around $100.

You can look at Samsung series 5.

Ya, im very impressed with Samsung actually. And what they did will make me stick with their brand and my next tv will definitely be a Samsung brand!

But just that i wasn't sure if i can get a brand new LED 40" tv for under $800 and will look at series 5, hopefully can grab a good deal.

Btw, how long will delivery takes for TVs bought in IT shows etc?

It's a no brainer. Go for the refund of course. Upgrade to an LED with just $100+, where to find...?

No one else would pay that much for a faulty and old TV.

Yes, of course you should take back the amount because its more than 50% of the value and considering the age of the TV

A little OT: Similar case did happen to me, but it was Samsung monitor instead. Replacement lcd panel was unsatisfactory and they refunded me 55% of the monitor price(tried to push for 100% but failed). Samsung TV is good but i wont buy another of their monitors again

I will say getting about 2/3 of the price of the tv after 3 years is definitely worth it but it also shown samsung tv can just break down beyond repair in 3 years.
