Oreo 8.0 3rd release v6.5850 for Sony Bravia TV in USA, no news on Asia release. Sony Asia better get things rolling out soon!

Reading on Reddit and finally it's stable and working well, Europe also haven't get their OTA, so fingers crossed, I think we are the last, USA --> Europe --> Asia

Secondly I also hope Sony will update 2018 Bravia series to support Airplay 2 (no news on this)

Sent from Samsung SM-G975F using GAGT
I have ask Sony about this but they did not reply.
Have to wait than...

Just check yday 8500F vs 8500G
85f-$107x
85g-$13xx

The difference is the x1 extreme chip and the FALD
I just using for ps4/Xbox 1/UHD/Netflix
85f is sufficient for my scenario right?
from where did you check these prices from? and what sizes are they?

How much you got it for and was it from the Sony promoter - Jonathan?

I got them to offset the price of everything upfront except the PS4 which i sold it back to sales promoter for $300 after redeeming it from Sony.

I think i got it from the same guy as you, pricing quite good. now waiting for delivery

hi anyone here has problem connecting to sound bar.
tv - X7500F
sound bar - sony HT-S200F

connect through ARC, sometimes can work sometimes cannot
(tried between 3 different HDMI cable)
try connecting using bluetooth, not sure why tv not able to detect soundbar thru scanning.
No problem connecting soundbar with phone directly

also if connected to sound bar, volume number will start from 45 onwards.
so if my volume start from 1 onwards i know sound is from tv speaker and not connected but if start from 45 onwards, i know soundbar is connected.

Switch from TV to audio system on your TV.
If ARC isn't working properly, the TV option under home theater control.
If proper persist check with retailer whether that soundbar compatible or not.
Do try optical cable as well.

Switch from TV to audio system on your TV -> yes i did, it works most of the time, but sometimes it will show, audio system has communication error with tv.

Do try optical cable as well-> tried this method as well, but i will have to use the sound bar remote instead of the tv remote.

I mean how can a sony soundbar not compatible with a sony tv.
it seems very silly to me.

Yes, its definitely gets connected if not then it's because of the options. So check the options with patience.

Since there is error than check with either Sony or retailer about it.
FYI 4K TV best to pair with soundbar that are compatible with 4K TV.
Under Sound option, there is home theater control menu where you
can view the list of compatible soundbar for use with 4K TV.

To me I suspect it could not compatible, using optical cable is one alternative but you have to control both TV and soundbar separately.

anyone knows the difference between the Sony X8500F (2018) vs the X8500G (2019)? and whether is it worth getting the G model over the F model for that price difference

Do google for the differences between OLED and a good LED panel.
Each has it's pro and cons.
See which suits your needs, and check the contents of your wallet and finally decide with your eyes. Cheers
