If 82 inch for that distance is just like watching on smart phone screen. The further away the smaller the screen gets. Hmmmm . So meaning if you have 100 inch tv. And you need to sit at the end of the hall. Say 6meter... errr pay so much money then sit far far and 100inch immediately become 10inch 😂

I’ve got a living room which is 2.5m by length (wall to sofa) and 2.1m by width.

Would a 75” 4K TV be overkill?

Yes, I never believe in the concept. Otherwise the front seat at Cinema should be the most popular one.

Depends on you.
I sit 1.8 m in front of my 65" TV. For 75", I would likely be around 2.1 m away.
Some may sit nearer while others may sit further away. All up to your preference.

Typical 4rm bto living room, floor plan states 3.3m wall-to-wall. With TV mounted on one wall and sofa against the opposite wall, what is the typical viewing distance?
Would 55" be sufficient? Is 65" justifiable for the price diff vs 55"?

You’re not utilizing or appreciating 4k. So if you buy 65”, sit a lot closer..

Thanks for your responses! Indeed cost is the limiting factor. I last bought a smart TV 4 years ago (43" FHD) for around 600 so i'm kinda shocked that I could easily spend above 2k for a 65".
