Sent from OnePlus HD1900 using GAGT
Try to turn on the HDMI 2.0 setting from off to on on MiTV as well as in MiBox S

"select the correct HDMI input on the TV. After that, press the Center Button of the TV's remote to turn on the HDMI 2.0. This will allow users to turn on the Mibox's "Enhanced HDMI setting""

Small hassle with Mi TV.

Mi TV 4S -> YouTube / Aptoide / Amazon Prime - OK (but no Netflix)
Mi Box S -> YouTube / Netflix - OK (but no Amazon Prime)

Lol. So if you use YT/Netflix/Amazon Prime as i do, you will need 2 devices. Thinking of the Amazon Firestick 4K so that 1 device can run all 3 programs that i watch.

you can watch prime video on mibox s.

after the upgrade to pie, you will find it in the playstore.

at the moment, you can watch via chromecast - run prime on the handphone, select the video, press chromecast button, then turn off the phone if you wish.

Ironically Amazon Firestick 4K will not be able to run Amazon Prime Video if you have the SG Amazon Prime membership.

In fact you may have to register as a US user as well in order to download apps like YouTube.

Viu TV version is only for paid members. But you can try the free version on your Mi TV to see if that works or not.

Can I watch the shows on TV?

Yes, only Viu Premium members would be able to enjoy their favourite Asian entertainment in full HD on their TV.

However, do note that TV rights are only applicable for selected shows on:
- Selected Samsung Smart TV or;
- Selected LG Smart TV or;
- Selected Sony Smart TV or;
- Apple TV or;
- Casting via Google Chromecast for Android / iOS devices & via AirPlay on Apple TV for iOS devices only. Laptop/PC to TV is not supported.
Click here to find out how to access Viu on TV

Thot the vendor will send you the correct Dragon TV Apk. They usually have their own modded version and send you the passcode to watch their drama..

They used to sell coded TV boxes in Sim Lim many years ago with free viewing of paid programs from IPTV providers. The Government legislated to ban these TV boxes.. Now these providers turned on-line selling the login codes for ordinary TV boxes.. is there any difference? What would happen if the viewers are caught buying the codes on-line? See they are selling it also on Amazon but for programs in other countries like Mexico.

The government can also block the IPTV apps.

Still in the end it depends how hard the right holders pursue the app vendors and how hard the ISPs implement the ban.

Take note big IPTV providers do get sued and many websites related to pirate streaming of live TV have been closed down due to DMCA.

Ref: US$50 million penalty for IPTV providers

https://dimitrology.com/iptv-supplie...iracy-damages/

Over the past years, ACE has built a steady track record of successful cases against IPTV providers and services. In addition to Omniverse, it also helped to shut down SetTV, Dragon Box, TickBox, Vader Streams, and many third-party Kodi addons.

As a user, suggest to use VPN to watch free programs using IPTV.. it is infringing copyrights.

https://www.techdirt.com/articles/20...ust-tool.shtml

there were cases before that users are sued for watching copyright infringed programs downloaded from some websites..
