Unless you root and load a custom rom and use nova. Removing all huawei stock launcher etc then will be smooth

Agreed...used to prefer nova but always seems buggy and crashes sometimes on both my mate 20 pro and mate 20 X hence I believe not optimised for Huawei interface

wireless charging charges at 15w as compared to 22w of the wired charging.

if you really want wireless charging, you can always attached a wireless charging receiver to your phone

For mate 20x, any such feature or need wait for the default 15/30sec to switch off?

I don’t like to press the button so much for fear of damaging jt

Another reason why I have to prefer default launcher.
Fingerprint unlock straight to home screen without the need to key in pin.
Very useful when using Google pay for transport.

How many of u guys use a lens protection glass? Is it a necessity?

I used it and noticed there was a scratch to it. My first thought it was that in glad to have a protector on.

Im guessing it could be due to the size, it gets pushed and squish with other items in my pocket when I sit down etc.

Im using nova, pretty smooth for me.
I did ADB to disable HW bloat.

Side note, has anyone rooted their mate 20x?

I need the NFC to work properly.
Fingerprint reader is good, works promptly. Just that keying in the pin before I can access Google pay is a hassle, that's why I need the default launcher to work with,straightaway to home screen after scanning of fingerprint.

To pay for transport fare ? Use til pissed lo...stand there wait like goondu...once unlocked very fast detect...kinda defeat the purpose...back to using ezlink card currently
